Its time for us to once again return to the Museum of Science and Industry. For Saturday June 21, the Museum has FREE admission, the Museum is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Its open from 9:30am to 5:30pm. There will be face painters, costumed characters, balloon artists all day.

The Museum's address is 57th Street and Lake Shore Drive. Here is a link to the Museum's website http://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/event...th-celebration/


Here is the tentative schedule:

Saturday, June 21

9:30am Meetup at the Museum, downstairs near the silver bullet train
Noon Snack at their cafeteria
2:30 3:30 p.m. The Radio Disney Party Patrol will offer music and entertainment for families in the Museums Rotunda.
Cake-Cutting Ceremony at 3 p.m. Come see the Museums giant cake (at the Party Patrol stage) and help sing Happy Birthday to the Museum. All guests will receive cake.
6:30pm Dinner at Giordano's
Then walk around Chicago- we can go visit the bean or go to John Hancock tower.


If anyone has any questions or suggestions, feel free to post them. Remember that the Museum's cafe is very expensive, and we will be walking around all day, so bring something to drink and snack on if you want to.

I should be able to come. I put in my request off so I'll know Friday for certain. I don't know what cosplay I'll wear yet... Maybe people will actually get to see me in guy clothes :P

Well I have never considered MSI boring, it's my favourite museum of ALL TIME but then again I'm a science geek and I could spend a week just staring at the Apollo 8 capsule ;)

But after the last MSI meetup with the gang...I'll never see some of those exhibits the same way again!

I wish I could make it to this but I already committed to helping the anime club at my library with their teahouse that day. (those not coming to the meetup are welcome to come to my library! Pocky and other Japanese treats available for purchase!)

Have tons of fun and I wanna see pictures! And video!! :D

i may be giving up my zombie march for this but it's always a blast to go to these places. I hope it's just like last time. count me in sweets. You know i'm right next to you with this. :)

Kasin, don't judge a place by how boring it is. this place is actually quite fun and enjoyable. If you don't want to go, then that's all you have to say. don't add on by saying how borring it is and such. Atleast give it a chance. We always make boring places fun and full of entertainment.

For those of you that went last year, one word "Pole Dancing". This museum will be a crazy meetup, plus we're walking around Chicago, who knows what we'll see. And the museum is FREE, you can't beat that price.

I know most of the people that hang alot at these meet-ups don't know me (I'm that tall black guy who was kinda just around at Xenida's birthday. lol) But I'll go since i'm in town for my own birthday meet-up and since now quite a few people who was gonna hang with me want to go to this, so I'll just do my things later when i'm there.
