• All confirmed panelists should have received an e-mail message from panelprogramming at acen on 4/24/08. Questions should be directed to panelprogramming at acen dort org and will be responded to with all reasonable expediency.
  
• If you have submitted a panel and have not yet received confirmation that the panel was received, please contact panelprogramming at acen with the name of your panel ASAP and we will work with you to confirm--a few panels were submitted without complete panelist information, or with information such as <Rosa Halcomb (and friends) will present a panel on painting faces on your hand and using them for ventriloquist acts. How is this anime related? You will all be painted with ANIME CHARACTER HAND PUPPETS!!> The problem in some of those cases was that no one told us who the <and friends> were, so we're missing some panelist names.
  
• Panel schedules are almost ready and will be made available to panelists before they are released to the public.
  
• Panel schedules will be released to the public prior to ACen, so keep watching here and on the forums!
  
• If you need to change out a panelist on your panel, let us know so we can make the right badge magic.

No problem. If you guys need stuff, I'm happy to help, and that goes now and for in general. I'm kind of the "first runner up" to Beryl (the con chair)'s Miss America, so my job title is "Be here in case Beryl gets Chicago Sleeping Sickness and can't make the con." BTW... If you are emailing the panel programming email, you are likely getting responses from me and I am answering as quickly as possible.


However I will say the preliminary schedule is done. It is going to people in the department to check for any mishaps in my sleep deprived state. Once it is done, I will get it out to panelists.

BTW we have so many panels this yet that all but one room is practically full. And this is from 10am until past midnight.

So bear with us here. I am doing all I can to pull things together for the convention. I might have to cosplay as L based on the bags forming under my eyes.


And Rosa.... I do NOT want to envision Beryl in a gown. Please no.... I'd think it would be hilarious but I doubt my size 3 prom dress would work around one of his arms much less him. Okay.... bad Lynn.... back to work.

Uhm, I havn't heard anything yet from refunds for comp badges. Me and 2 other panelists paid for 3 day badges before I even knew I'd be doing a panel. I havn't heard about that in a while.

I'm very happy that the rough draft of the panels are almost done! I can't wait, once I find that out I can get the rest of my ACen planned ... well almost lol.

Bear with me on the comp badges. I want to get a schedule done first as that is the most important thing for our department to accomplish. After that we will work on getting badges processed. We will be sending email to panelists at that time.

As a panel fan, I'd like to thank both the panelists and the staff for all of their hard work to make so much happen.

Also, I'd like to know if an updated list of the accepted panels would be possible to have posted before the schedule, as I'm curious as to what the possibilities are. If not, that's fine with me. I'm just a curious wittle kitten~

I don't know about everyone else, but I know our group of 13 is leaving in... exactly two weeks, so we're just trying to get everything together.

Well... the schedule was done except we have a fun addition that has yet to go live that is causing a few last min changes. And trust me in that it was a pretty good surprise but nevertheless is one that has me swapping things around quite a bit.

Expect it over the weekend.

And hopefully someone will drop the news on the website on just what that surprise is.

I've asked Julie (Webmistress Juri) to hang onto it for just a few days and keep it off the website so that the panelists see it first. And so that if there are any post-last-minute changes, we can make 'em.

It's pretty tightly packed schedule, and Justin has threatened to have me hung from the rafters if I ask him for any more changes....but yeah. Our Guest Relations team threw us a very cool curve ball this week that required us to shift things around in the guest appearances.

This year's gonna be FUN.

I sent out a 98% finished schedule to my boss this morning.

If you look at our guest announcement, we had the addition of Mamoru Yokota (director of animation for Death note, Kanon and Air...) there was a bit of a reshuffle of the panel schedule.

It was not our intention to have things held up, but we literally got the announcement straight from GR on wednesday morning and that was when I was left with just writing some descriptions remaining for work. I also am on the cusp of final exams and had several papers to write. I literally came in the house and collapsed on Thusday and am sick from exhaustion as of today (I feel like I am in Persona 3 right now). So I have been working nonstop to try and get everything taken care of with the curveball thrown at us.

I understand everyone being antsy but I am human and have limits to what I can do. I also prefer doing the job right and having the fewest problems possible because I am going to take any responsibility for schedule problems as it is my beast this year. But for me to do that I must do the best job I can muster. It works for you in the long term.

Panelists will get some info very very soon. If you pm me, email me or aim me, I can gladly look at where your panel stands if we have a delay of any kind in posting the schedule. But give us a little time to get it up.
