I hope this is the right place to ask this...

This year Acen falls on my 18th birthday, but because of leapyear it lands on sunday instead of saturday. I really wanted to go to some of the 18+ panels though and I was wondering if it were possible for me to do so at all.

If your ID says you're not 18...you're not 18 :(

But if you wanted to go to a panel that started at midnight Saturday...!

What kind of ID is acceptable? Do u only allow state ID or drivers license...or do u also accept school IDs?

A school ID card is acceptable for picking up your badge I believe.

For an 18+ panel you would need something that has your DOB on it. Otherwise, how would we know your age? :o

if your school id has a DOB on it i don"t think its a problem. i am not a staffer so don't quote my saying it as the rule, but as long as it has a picture and a DOB i believe it's good.

An ID will also come in handy because of the curfew laws. If a LEO wants some sort of ID from you and you look young, not having one won't work in your favor probably.,

IDs also come in handy for getting into certain video rooms...
There is a slight flaw in my character.

So I have a quick question about this. I looked up the curfew law in Illinois as saying

Quote

It is unlawful for a person less than 17 years of age to be present at or upon any public assembly, building, place, street or highway at the following times unless accompanied and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible companion at least 18 years of age approved by a parent or legal guardian(...)

So would that mean if I am 17 years old but I'm walking around the convention after hours with my friend who is 18 (whom my parents approve of, haha), that would be okay?
