Why do you say Belmondo? Desu ka? roru. I understand that's what they called him in the first US release, but it's supposed to be Belmont.

Impossible is a mighty big term.
His whip would be the primary weapon, and I see it working a lot like Marth's blade. Simon's whip could be all his A's. B could be the different items.
His whip would allow him to get back on the stage like Samus and Sheik. So here we have a Simon Belmont.

As for a Final Smash, they could just borrow from his Castlevania: Judgement special.
-Which, if you haven't seen, should remind you of Ike's Aether.
-Okay I looked, and I guess Link's final smash is a little closer =P

Sorry, ever since I saw Belmondo it kind of just stuck with me, his actual name is Shimon Berumondo, or, シモン・ベルモンド. I've never played Judgement to be honest, Castlevania was always nice but...It never struck me as a fighting game, thus I avoided it with quite fervor. I've always been quite a big, big fan of the Castlevania series and strived to play every single one of them.

And Simon Belmont's supposed to be from over near Romania or whatever - definitely not a japanese dude. That romanization is just that - a romanization of a western name.

So do you stick by the Japanese versions of most romanized character names? If there's a japanese name for a pokemon character, for example, I'll usually prefer the japanese one since that's the original intent - so I understand. But I think it's weird to prefer a japan-ized western name. It'd be like if everyone who played Final Fantasy was like "Omg I rabu Fainaru Fantajii". It's supposed to be Final Fantasy, so it's referred to as such.

But that's pretty awesome you got to play the Saturn version =D
I lack the cash sources to modify my Saturn, AND import the Saturn one.
I think it would still be fun to play through as someone different.

Trust me, the Saturn version wasn't as good as you might hope. =) Maria was tons weaker than Richter was when you got to play his game, that and her life gauge never increased because the bosses would not drop HP max ups. Truthfully I wonder how she survived through the castle now that I think about it o.o. As for names, I just go with whatever sounds best. I wonder though..How would the Romanian say Simon's name?

Ohhhh! Well, I have one! 8D I have been wanting to play them since Harmony of Dissonance. I think that was the one they showed in one of the NP issues in 2002 because I remember reading about Sonic Adventure 2 Battle in one of the issues that year. > 3<

I wish I could find the issue that I was in. I looked through the issues I had and could not find it, so I threw them out since I had no use for them. TT 3TT

Actually the GBA games were the first ones I really heard about. I remember back when we only had the original GBA and everyone was like "This game is awesome, but the screen is so dark!".
I have Circle of the Moon (for GBA) and I wanted to finish that before starting Harmony of Dissonance (and then moving on to the last GBA one).

I have Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. I traded Pikmin for it - imagine that. I got Pikmin again, though.

How were you in NP?
If it's around the time you describe, I still have the issue. I saved all of mine from like 1998 to ... whenever it turned into crap =P

Well, for Ammy, I can see a lot of B-Attacks being certain Divine Instrument, especially glaives and/or Reflector attacks, maybe each with an Element power (certain weapons in Okami give you certain elemental power. One was Fire... etc.), And A... could be a Rosary? Maybe some, and yeah, you'd HAVE to put in Golden Fury... >D And a Rosary could also work as a grab weapon, like Link's clawshot or Samus' whip thing...

And maybe one attack would be to launch Issun at someone, and have him attack with his little sword, Denkomaru...final smash... some epic Brush Technique. Yeah...

And Oki, would definitely be a swordsman. with, Oki has a lot of speed; maybe though with more force than Marth. And he can turn into a Wolf... and use ice-attacks that freeze... Maybe his final Smash could be he turns into a wolf for a bit, like Wario turns into Super Wario, or Bowser into Giga Bowser. Or turn into a wolf and unleash his ice-crossbow attack... like Zelda/Sheik's light arrow... something like that. Or, like Zelda and Sheik, be able to use B-Down to turn into a wolf. That would be pretty cool....

... yeah.

Mr. Lugosi is indeed an icon and legend. He IS The Vampire of Pop Culture. More so than any modern day vampire. Well, that goes to Dracula. But Lugosi pretty much has become synonymous with Dracula.

Sonic is pretty much bought out by Nintendo since Sega is only keeping afloat by making games for other systems, as far as Snake goes, Hideo Kojima (The creator) had always wanted Snake to participate in some group type of game, when asked by Nintendo if they could use him, he accepted, it was really a fan-based move...Seeing as Solid Snake is so popular, fans would eat it up.

Maybe they just put him there because Dracula is the biggest thing that inspired Castlevania.
I looked it up, and Lugosi died in 1956. Castlevania (Famicom) came out in 1986.

Kojima wanted Snake in Melee, but it didn't happen until Brawl.
Also, Lucas was supposed to be in Melee, replacing Ness. Yes - replacing!
And how about that Star Wolf in Melee's opening?
Also - I wanted Ridley to be in Brawl. I thought it'd be really neat =3 No weird new versions, just the original Ridley.

Some funny characters people wanted: Goku and Cloud xD Not happening.

There was also alot of want from furry fans for Krystal to be a playable character...Why I'll never know...However I've seen some low-budget Ed Wood films and I must say, with what he had to work with he did good flicks. You have to really just be watching the movies for entertainment value sadly because nowadays his movies are torn apart as how shoddy and quickly they were shot. Ed Wood movies are actually favored among a joke religion called "The church of the sub genius" which, unlike scientology is just doing it to have a good time. "One time fee of 29.94, eternal salvation or triple your money back!"

Okami is a game that needs more love. It's such a fantastic creation.

It would be cool to have Krystal, like her original Adventures style, with the staff and what not; but there are enough Star Fox playable characters already. I could see replacing Falco with Krystal; but I like Falco...

I'm sort of against the idea of Krystal because Starfox Adventures was Dinosaur Planet, and then at the end they just slapped the "Starfox" franchise onto it. I would have played Dinosaur Planet.
I'm not super into Starfox, but still. It'd be like if they made Mario into a shmup. You can't do that.

I'd never heard of that joke religion. I wonder if they've a site.

Here's the real question: Would you choose Falco, or Wolf? They certainly wouldn't rid of Fox. I would hope that the next Smash game doesn't have FOUR Starfox Characters. Even though the Mario universe has like a thousand characters representin'.
Wolf is too refreshing, but I also like Falco's extended reflector.

And I think Lucario's cool, but what's up with his pointy hair neck, and pointy arm/chest spikes.
And I still don't get why he's steel type, AND why he's so psychic-ish all over the place, when he isn't psychic-type.
