So is there anyone up for cosplaying Fushigi Yuugi this year? I'll like usual be bringing my Hotohori costume, regardless if there is anyone else, haha. I don't know what days I'll be wearing it yet though.

Last year's turnout was...um...small...to say the least...

I was also thinking that since the FY group dwindles every year, if there is anyone who is cosplaying a character from another manga of Watase's we could just do a gathering of Watase-sensei's characters instead. =)

I made this Takiko outfit last year, but never really wore it. XD; It's all finished, except for the gold details and the necklace. I probably won't have time to complete it, but I'm planning to wear what I've got on Friday, at least.

Aw man...makes me wish I would have my Frey (Alice 19th) costume done, but I have so much other stuff it's not going to happen - I was planning to work on it over the summer and wear it for AnimeFest in Dallas over Labor Day weekend ~_~

I'll be in the Artists' Alley all day(until 7pm Friday and Saturday), so would you guys want to meet up at about 9pm on Friday somewhere? The main Kingdom Hearts gathering is on Saturday again, so I'll be Riku that day, and won't be able to change into my Hotohori costume.

(I would have replied to this earlier but I had no idea anyone posted - the alert system has failed me again, lol).

YES! I was hoping for one of these this year! My friend and I are going as Priestess Yui and Priestess Miaka. It's sad that hardly anybody knows about Fushigi Yuugi anymore... *tear* But I totally be on the look out for you guys! I need a Suboshi though! ;P

Well I don't think it's that not many know, it's more people don't recognize much more than Miaka in her school uniform offhand and such. People like FY, but there are a lot less of us where it's one of our favourites and we're willing to cosplay, you know?

Yeah, I can understand that. My friend and I are kind of paying homage to our obsession with it back when we were in high school. Plus we wanted to go as a pair.

I might be Ceres from Ayashi No Ceres. But I need to see what clothing I have and look through my manga's that matches it. Or else I wouldn't know what to to do. But I'll figure something out and let you guys know because I'm already doing Tifa from Advent Children and I don't know when those photoshoots are.

But Next year I do hope to be Nuriko from Fushigi Yuugi. IN his most awesome pretty girliness! Yes you heard me. I might be Nuriko when he dress up as a girl. ^,^

Well I have been suggesting Friday night at 9:00 PM.
By that time those who are coming from work or school that day should be there.
Personally, I will be in the Artist's Alley all day until 7pm, and that will be the day I will do my Hotohori cosplay since Saturday I will be Riku from KHII and can't change out of that costume.
As for a place, what do you guys think? Any place special someone has in mind?

Ah, where the fountain used to be? That sounds good. =) Although if I remember, the lighting was poor last year, so we might have to move when we all get there if that is again the case.

My only concern with Friday at 9pm is that it directly clashes with the timing of the Masquerade Ball. We might not have as big a group as possible because of this. Plus... there is the issue of lighting and we wouldn't be able to get any outside shots if we wanted.

*Nod* Yeah, that is a problem. What about 4pm then? I'm worried about having it that early because of people coming from school or work that day, but it would be a nice time other than that little problem though. We could do it in the garden area then as well, weather providing.

If my classes don't get too crazy before finals (I'm leaving straight from my last final and driving to ACen), I'll hopefully have finished my Miaka school uniform, and my friend is bringing their Tasuki costume I think... I didn't think anyone else was going to be doing Fushigi Yuugi, or even remembered it! (I feel rather old now, lol).

I'll be on the lookout for other Fushigi Yuugi people!

And don't worry about thinking there won't be any FY cosplayers. If there is a con that I'm at, there will be an FY cosplayer at least one of the days. XD It's been my favourite anime and manga for years. ^^ I'm always the person in the Artist's Alley who surprises people with the amount of FY fanart I have(and that's just what I'm selling). XD

I'm the other half of the Artbook-Priestess Yui/Miaka pair that Seloy had mentioned. Other than the jewelry and the gravity-defying hairloops (which someone is making for me because wig-making is NOT my forte...) my costume is complete! I'm so very excited that there's going to be a FY photoshoot! Hurrah!

I plan on being in the same costume the whole time. Travelling by plane doesn't allow me much extra space, unfortunately.

All of you are awesome. It brings me to tears of joy. *sniffle*

Awesome, 4:00PM in the garden area it is? If anyone has any serious objections to this, let me know by Thursday May 1st. If there aren't I'll post in the Gathering List thread to get added at that time.

If it's raining - and water has to be falling from the sky, just being cloudy doesn't count, lol - we'll meet inside where the fountain used to be(where the stairs are now), where we have been meeting the past couple of years. =)

Being a little earlier like this might pose a slight problem for me getting into costume now, seeing as my Thursday night/Friday morning plans have recently been altered from what I originally believed them to be, but I'll probably just travel in costume then if I can. In the small 5-10% chance that for some reason I can't change into my costume, I will try to meet up with you guys anyway to meet all of you and get pictures. =) The con would be a waste for me if I couldn't be with my fellow Watase fans!
