Well, this series has been out for a long butt while, it is very different than anything else. I guess what draws me to it is the whole down to earth feel to it, looking past Beck and Mr.Bannana Hammack. I prefer the music from the dubs rather than the original Japanese engrish vocals.

I'm sorry, clearly you wanted me to bring a jazz quartet in here and a line of chorus girls to accompany through a rendition of, 'oh what a beautiful morning.' Well I'm afraid I can't do any better because I somehow got the apparently mistaken impression that this was a systems analyst job, not a bloody audition Christ your tie makes me want to puke a fat one.' -If you know this, then have a cookie.

Aww... I haven't seen the dub yet, but I liked the music in the original. I can see where there would be licensing problems for some of those songs though... they used a lot of American music.

Actually, the major problem with Beck(according to the directors), was the cultural/language barriers.

Since you have seen the subs, then you already know that some characters speak English, so they had to figure ways around that. Which is interesting comparing the two, also they said to try and figure out when the directors switched places, sometimes one of them had to leave right in the middle of a scene, so the other took over.

To be honest I love the dubs a lot more than the subs, the songs were good, but a bit silly with the whole engrish thing going on, also they decided to go with actors that had more musical talent.

I loved Beck, but the dub ruined it. Then again I hate when they change anything because I prefer things in their original form, the way the original director meant for you to see and hear them.

Well, the main storyline hasn't changed nor has a lot of the major things, unless you are really fickle about the smallest things. I can understand the whole culture barrier problem that occurs would make some people worry about the dubs, but so far what they changed still fits into the whole Beck style.

I agree though, some things should still be kept the same, but if they do keep every anime the same then there would be major problems (cue Crayon Shinshan and Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei).

Music is a huge part of that series. They changed almost all of it. Its like changing the bread in Yakitate or making Hikaru no Go about Chess.

They switched from Engrish to English, same lyrics, same sound, same meaning, nothing really changed. It isn't like they changed the meaning of 'Face,' to a journey down this generation's lifestyle, it still is about Maho, 'Follow Me,' is still made by the Rocket Boys with the same British style, and, 'Full Moon Sway,' well, that was already made in English, and sounds kinda weird in Engrish.

But if you want to make mountains out of molehills then go ahead, I ain't going to stop you.

No, no one uses that expression :)
I've seen very little of the dub, but I thoroughly enjoyed the engrish. It's part of the show to me
I'm sure both are fine
