I adore the Pumpkin Scissors series by Ryoutarou Iwanaga. It is currently serialized in Monthly Shonen and has a 24 episode anime to go with it.

I absolutely love the character of Alice. She is loud and obnoxious and is trying her best to bring peace and restoration to her war ravaged country.

I wish I would have watched it all before it got licensed. Now I have to wait for all the DVDs to come out.

They just put out volume 1 for the manga in the US. And I believe you can actually buy the dvd's now. Though I am not for sure on that last as I haven't looked for them yet.

It is good to see that at least there are a couple other people who have seen and enjoyed this series.

And Kankokujin, they do have the dvd series volume 1 out in the US as well! So go ahead and go buy it!

Yea I am tempted to buy it but I'm thinking about waiting for the boxset as well.

XD I was thinking the same thing. But then again I am ok with having the single volumes and then buying the whole set over again when they release a box set.

Basically the series is set in a fantasy world similar to western Europe during the interwar period (time between world wars.)

A ceasefire ended the long war between the Royal Empire and the Republic of Frost. Three years later, the Empire is still plagued by starvation, pestilence, and soldiers turning into bandits. To aid in the war relief effort, the "Imperial Army State Section III", also known as the Pumpkin Scissors, was established.

XD I never noticed. I like Oland though. His character is so mysterious and sweet. I need to start reading the manga so I can now more about his past.

Plus I am kinda curious about Alice's fiance. Is he good or bad or what? Hmmm....
