I used to sing Christmas songs at high school during the fall. I think I only sang one Christmas song during the winter.

I walk out of second period singing Christmas songs everyday. It doesn't help that we've been constantly prepping for the winter concert since september. No way to stop it now. Now hearing other people sing holiday songs is another story. I'm gonna hate it when that one channel starts playing only holiday songs...

I hate how the masses have practically skipped Thanksgiving now. We go from Halloween RIGHT into XMAS... What about THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!! The one holiday thats based around food... (yeah yeah theres more to it than that, but seriously) Who doesnt love stuffing there faces with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, pumpkin pies, apple pies, any kind of pies..... Seriously... Thanksgiving.. is my favorite holiday.. and it makes me angry that we practically skip it and go straight to Xmas.... decorations shouldnt be put up AT LEAST until the day after thanksgiving.

I <3 Thanksgiving & Christmas respectively. If I had to choose one, I'd choose the latter but I totally see your point. Christmas shopping starts earlier & earlier anymore that it really drowns out Thanskgiving.

What's more horrible is that people don't really have a real idea what Thanksgiving was all about anymore. I mean, to most people it means a day to stuff themselves, ie.: Turkey Day--kinda like people think Christmas = presents day. There is a meaning to these holidays and we should at least know the history of them and why we celebrate/do not celebrate them.

This is part of the reason I refuse to call Independence Day "4th of July."

Thanksgiveing is like:

Step 1: Make food (not makeing it you don't come in till step 2)
Step 2: Eat Food
Step 3: Eat more food
Step 4: Eat yet even more food
Step 5: Come home/bed and fall alseep

>.> Insert random discusstion with family in there too. Thats about all this holiday is for, faimly get togthers. Some peopel dont even do that. In that case its just another day for them. I mean eatting and talking with family thats about it for this hoilday. The weather is even hit or miss. Though i must say for a hoilday the food is almost always DAMN GOOD!!!

I think Light FM started their 24 hour Christmas music on Nov. 1. So san now you have an extra 3 weeks to be so sick of christmas music that you won't want to hear it anymore.

I understand that some people don't celebrate Thanksgiving. However, the rule in my house (since I handle most of the shopping/ all of the cooking for Thanksgiving) is:

THERE WILL BE NO DONNING OF THE GAY APPAREL OR SINGING OF THE HOLIDAY SONGS UNTIL THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING!!!

Don't even MENTION Christmas until that Friday!

I will cook, we will give thanks, people will eat, we will all pass out from various states of exhaustion/intoxication/fullness, we will wake up the next day, and then and ONLY THEN, is the Christmas season allowed to begin.

Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that means a lot more to the people who are doing all of the wrangling. It's tougher than it looks!

I tried not to wear red and green, but I got sucked into it when I went to see Fred Claus...
A family friend's house was in it so we all got dressed up in Christmas gear.
I felt fake.

OK, other colors with red and green are allowed (because complete elimination of red would diminish my own wardrobe by about 40%), but if the predominant colors are red, green, and/or white, and/or elfy, snowflakey, or in any other ways reminiscent of Christmas then it is liable to be torched by an flour-covered angry woman wearing an apron and redolent of pie fixin's.

I too like that song!

Unfortunately I have to listen to traditional music in the mall. That might change as soon as I get a second job at Spencer's.

Another favorite: "I Farted On Santa's Lap"

Ok, nobody here can complain about hearing X-mas music too early...because you know what? I was in a traveling string instrument group a few years back, and we were going to record a Christmas album. SO, we got to play/hear Christmas music from September 1st to late, mid April....(X_X)
