Hey, all. I work at an AMC in the Chicagoland area and I thought some of you would be interested to know that we are showing previews on our NCN's about Anime Bento. What will happen is that 4 different anime movies will be played on 4 different days in September.

September 19 - Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles

September 20 - Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie Conqueror of Shamballa

September 26 - Lupin the III: Castle of Caqliostro

September 27 - Karas the Prophecy

We all joke that this is being done due to the popularity of the Naruto movie that played however many months ago. I don't know all the theaters that will be showing these but www.fathomevents.com can give you a list. My theater is supposed to play em and that makes me happy cause I really wanna see the Lupin one. :)

It's sort of one of those "If you have to ask..." things.

The tl;dr version is that Robotech hits a sour note in the mecha community. And Shadow Chronicles even more so. And it isn't even really anime.

ooohhhh. I see. Would it bother you to know that we've already sold 40ish tickets for that one? It was a group thing I believe. I guess they're gonna be disappointed when the movie is over.

Ehh, well, in all likelihood, they're your average anime fan who doesn't care about the whole Robotech fiasco...much less know it even happened. They might enjoy it.

I wish i could of seen Lupin. I rented it and really liked it. It would of been amazing on the big screen. More people need to watch the Lupin series besides Cagliostro.

Do you work at the Cantera 30? I really wanna see the Lupin & FMA (even though I've got it on DVD)... ^_^ What are the showtimes? I work both those days, but if it's late enough, I should still be able to go...

I believe that the thread is talking about something that happened last year.
