I know its really short notice. But i just recently purchased a 96 Volkswagen Jetta GLX VR6 Standard Transmission And I was wondering if you had some room for a European car not necessarily anime themed car(Was thinking about getting Outlaw Star theme for the paint) but visuals interior engine work and exhaust system done. I should have it finished by the time of the convention. or at least all exterior and interior work besides paint.

but where do/did most of you get your cars(older ones specificly)...and how much did you pay for them?

i'm just wondering cause i love older cars.
i have a 1990 celica.

i almost got my hands on a 1991 mazda rx-7. but the dealership was stupid with financing and wanted HALF THE PRICE of the car for a downpayment.

well were gonna start setting up at 10am or 11am or whenever we can get into the convention center and we will be goin till we get all the cars in and setup i'm not sure how long it will take. last year we started at 10am and went till 1am.

My 1991 Supra... I got it at a place in Downers Grove... Found it while surfing ... Cars.com or was it Autotrader.com.... Oh yeah... I think I paid $4000 for mines....

I spent time @ forums devoted to Starions/Conquests, learned all I could about the cars, and looked for a southern car(due to the rust issue alot of the midwest StarQuests have - info like this is why you should research ALOT before you get a car over the internet). Found a solid one down in Nashville that needed a repaint, some panel replacement, and alot of TLC. I spent alot of time talking to the owner and the owner before him who did alot of the rebuild. After researching the car I put a deposit on it, flew down to Nashville, gave him the cash, and drove it back to Chicago.

I got really lucky because both of the people were very popular on that particular forum, and dozens of people vouched for their work and honesty. It's the best net transaction I've ever made.

well its getting closer to con i've still got a few more spots for the car show. so if anybody wants to be considered for the show please send in the pics to me.

also just to let everyone know if your car isn't done yet but will be done by con and there are spots available bring your car by on thursday may 15 and i'll see check out your car then and decide if you can get into the show. i'll post up more details about that later though.

If you get close to my car... I'm going to give you the heads up and.. Watch out for the front bumper and the nose... Cause those two piece are zipped tied, and might fall off if there's too much weight on it.....

then why don't you fix it and put it on properly my god you work at toyota i'm sure they have some good clips and what not so you can actually put it on right.

why not use stock body clips and then you won't have that issue.

How does one apply to be a car show model?

j/k. It's my first year there, and as your showcasing cars of Asian decent mostly, I'm sure you would prefer a more Asian looking car model. That and I'm not sure if I meet "hot" standers.

I'm going to have to make sure to get my photo taken with the 1989 Mazda RX7 Turbo II. I just about died and went to heaven when I saw that was on the list of cars for this year. My friend is most likely going to get upset when I'm not going to want to leave the car show room *is a sucker for a hot car*
