The Midwest Animation Promotion Society is proud to announce its first �Movie Night�
This event is a special FREE movie screening. From time to time we will be made aware of Movie Screenings and MAPS / anime central will in turn inform our fan base.
These events will (including this one) sometimes cross over with some of our other �sister� crossover groups like Phandemonium (The Organization that brings you Capricon the Sci-Fi Convention) http://www.phandemonium.org & http://www.capricon.org
*Note* Having talked with the Phandemonium BOD They have extended the offer also seeing that they will have more passes that what we are getting.
It you are not able to get a pass from MAPS/ acen you can go to the Phandemonium site and try to acquire passes there.



MAPS / anime central presents a �Free Preview Screening� of the new movie Sunshine, staring Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins and 28 Days Later).
This movie is scheduled to be released to the general public on Friday July 20th, but here's your chance to see it for �free� on Monday July 16th 2007.
Yes we did say �FREE!�
As an added bonus there will be a Q&A session with the director, Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, Millions) after the movie.

This movie screening will be shown Monday, July 16th 2007 at 7:30 PM. At the Landmark Century Cinemas, 2828 N. Clark St. Chicago, IL. 60657

Fifty years from now, the sun is dying, and mankind is dying with it. Our last hope: a spaceship and a crew of eight men and women. They carry a device which will breathe new life into the star. UPDATE !!!!
We have approximately 50 (admit 2 passes). Each Pass is for TWO people so keep this in mind when you reserve a pass.
The passes are First Come First Served. Email Us at mapsevents@acen.org for your pass.
If you are lucky you will receive an email back stating that you have been awarded the pass(es) you requested.
If you wish to attend the Q&A session after the movie you will need to call the phone number you will receive in the email along with your pass number (will also be included in the email).
On the night of the show I will be at the theatre around 5:30pm handing out passes. Look for a big black guy wearing an IRT vest with the call sign DOCTOR? on it. Please bring a photo ID in order to pick up your pass as I will be going off of a list. Possession of a pass does not guarantee admission to see the movie. It is first come first serve and we will not the only group of people being provided with passes. The promoter suggests getting there at least an hour ahead of time. So if the movie is at 7:30 that means get there no later than 6:30.
The earlier you get there the better chance you have of seeing the movie. There may be cases of you have a pass but the theatre is full so please get there early.
