Working on removing spamusers and blocking known spam IP addresses....

Speaking of... I want to thank all of you for helping to combat the rampant spam on the board.

It isn't that we haven't given a damn, we've just been damn busy trying to finish breaking down the show and prepping things for this year.

We've added more moderators to help and we have the time to work more toward this and we are working on new modifications on the forums to combat this further.

I appreciate that. There are a few of us on every day to clean it up, but it's difficult to catch the ones embedded in other threads. Thanks for finding these posts for us!

get the name of the spammer, hit the report button, put down the spammers name and the reason.

The more details that can be explained IN the report, the better. If you're reporting but you're unsure whether it's actually spam (yes it's happened) just try to explain why you think it might be spam.

If that was the one in the Webpage boards I got that. The evil spam is gone, and his IP address has been taken down and reported to those who can block them.

Dang, you guys are all over this stuff. I removed the member first because I noticed that another registration was in validation from the same domain as Funky's. So, both got removed, then the domain banned, then I removed the posts.

I really wish there was a way to be more proactive on the spam front... All we can do right now is remove and ban as it comes up. Thanks again, as always. (Spam's taken care of)
