On behalf of the ACen 2007 video gaming staff, I want to say thanks to all of you, I hope you all enjoyed yourselves!

While I know things didn't go quite as smoothly as they could have or as originally planned, and we were forced out of the room an hour and 15 earlier than originally planned, everyone was very cooperative and courteous. Most of the tournaments seemed to go well, even though we couldn't hold all the tournaments that we wanted to.

We do have some missing items, so if you're looking for anything, please let me know.

Also, we are also missing some items as well, if you happen to accidently have them, whether it's a game you left in your PS2, a controller you took on accident, or a component you wrongly picked up, please let me know ASAP. No questions will be asked, and we do have some concerned gamers looking for their lost or misplaced items.

Yeah, I'm missing my Palm Pilot. I posted an email to the staff email list and I'm going to post a thread somewhere on this forums. That thing is pretty important to me, it was my mp3 player, my calendar, my address book, my word processor, etc.

LOST: Playstation 2 Memory Card- black, full, bemani, jrpgs, fighting games.

FOUND: A copy of Wii Sports that belongs to "Alec *" <-- (first initial of last name omitted for verification purposes)

Oh yeah, I'm wondering if anyone was there during the Smash and Naruto tourney remembers Izzy, because we're going to EVO and he's going to continue to get stronger until then :D

Forte: that copy is my friend's I have all the rest of his Wii stuff. Please let me know if you live in the Chicago area (I have the rest of his stuff and his last name as proof). And thanks =)

So far, I have a USB thumbdrive for ITG, has some school docs in it. Otherwise, I have a lot of cables and power strips.

We're definitely beefing up the security next year, so I do apologize for any loss.

SpicyNinjaCat: I was the guy in some kind of collared shirt the entire weekend, Friday in a blue button-down, Saturday and Sunday in a navy blue polo, Asian with glasses. I also looked like I had no sleep (really didn't have any).

Although I suppose it's not too had to mistake me as a black guy? (maybe your friend was thinking of the ADH)

Oh man ACEN was off the hook. I really enjoyed myself and I thank all of yous who were able to come and participate. This is Webster for all that don't know.

BakaOrochi: I am very interested in becoming part of the Video Gaming Staff for next years CON. Please send me an email as soon as you see this (webstersnowjr@yahoo.com). I was the big black guy, who lost his voice because I ran like 6 tournaments...LOL! I was also IRT staffing in the gameroom!

Congrats to all placers in the tournaments I ran. I'm kinda sad I couldn't see the finals for smash I heard it was real high level play!

I placed in the following tournaments:

HNK (Fist of the North Star): 2nd place
Naruto GNT4: Tied for 7th place
Tekken DR: I probably would have won that if I didn't have to be somewhere else when it was going on! Congrats to DBGC Tekkenstyle for winning!
DragonBallZ Budokai 3.1: I think I tied for 7th place
Soul Calibur 3: 2nd place (I really do hate that game...LOL! 2 is so much better)

I would have liked to see where I would have placed in CVS2. That would have been interesting. Kung Fu Hustle we'll have to play for shizzle next year aiight?

Again, I thank everyone who came to CON and spent all their time in the game room, you guys are the best!!! Fo realz!!!

LOL!!! Its good to see a lot of con-goers had a lot of fun this year. So I guess your Gameroom was a success, eh June? Next time though, I would have to keep a mental note to stop asking to play with you during ACEN.... LOL!!! It was nearly impossible to have one round of KOF XI w/ ya on ACEN... I guess only during regular non-con days are the only times I could ask, atleast get a 50/50 chance to do so.. LOL!!!

I myself was so excited but my competitive fighting spirit left me every time I was playing... either lack of sleep or too stressed to play, but enough making excuses on my part.... I was glad to see some good competitions with great sportsmanship.... except for this one guy who I wasn't very happy on how he played.... he got skills but not much in honor, eh.. *shrugs* .... There's always next year...

I had fun with the games. Honestly, I ended up not caring that ITG2 had r23 on it - my feet felt tired after playing some of my 1:45-1:59 songs anyways. I did see a few people attempt to play custom songs longer than 2 minutes, including DukAmok's keyboard stepfile for "Holy Orders". They were pissed that the song stopped in the middle, but at least it kept the lines moving.

The one that was almost cancelled? That thing was postponed forever. Glad they finally got it going though.

So, who exactly was the winner? I'd like to know who won a couple of the tournaments. There was so much going on that I never stayed until the end.




By the way, you guys did a great job in the gaming room. Even with some of the problems you ended up having. I could tell a lot of you were stressing out but it really worked out in the end because it turned out to be one of the best gaming rooms I've seen in a while at a convention.

Also, I thought it funny to stand next to the Tekken 5 game while people were playing lol!

It was awesome being able to go up against such a nice level of gamers over at the KoF XI station If any of you guys went up against me, let me know who you were~ (I was the girl who used the King/Yuri/Ash or Ryo team that had to run because of a party I got to bartend).

Haha I was surprised with the turn-out of KOF players. KOF seems to get bad reception around some circles in Chicago, so I was happy enough that people knew how to play XI.

Too bad I couldn't compete in the tourney, had to run another =/

The gaming room was awesome this year! I had never had so much fun there! The Budokai 3 tournament was especially awesome!! I was dressed up as Bulma Briefs, I can't remember what place I took in the tournie though... We should definitely have that tournament again next year! Thanks!!

BTW - If you remember me, just drop me a line! I met and hung out with some great people while watching and playing Budokai 3 in the wee morning hours.

Too bad the "King of the Gameroom" Tourney got dumped. That was going to be my coup d'etat. I'm somewhat of an "old school" gamer, so that line-up was right up my alley. Well, that and I got OWNED at the Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection tourney. I wasn't prepared for the timing difference from the PS2 version. Ah well. Maybe next year.
