Ok guys and dolls. Thursday is almost here! And it seems that a lot of people want to go to Steak & Shake. So be it! Plus its open 24 hours! So here's the info for the Munch & Guzzle

Meet up time and location:
10:30 pm. Thursday where checkout use to be on the first floor. Just a few feet AWAY from the statue. Do not meet up at the statue due to capacity reasons.

Where are we going to eat:

Uhhh....confusion. I thought the meetup was at 9:00pm and we would leave for food at 10:30? Because I do want to go to ze meetup, but I don't want to be up all night. (I want to be up bright and early to attack the dealers room, not to mention have breakfast.) Either way I'll try to go, but this kinda surprised me, since the time had always said 9:00 on all of the other topic.

To avoid confusion, here's the rundown:

At 9:00 pm is the Acen Meetup. Everyone should be where checkout use to be on the first floor, which is just a few feet AWAY from the statue. Do not meet up at the statue due to capacity reasons.


At 10:30 pm is the Acen Meet & Greet & Munch & Guzzle. We wil all remain at the same location (the first floor) then will leave en route to Steak n' Shake, which is at once again...

I unfortunately don't see myself going to the Steak 'n Shake part, which makes me sad because I adore Steak 'n Shake and would at least get a frisco melt and a Pepsi, but I need to get up early on Friday morning, and, unless you guys intend to walk to Steak 'n Shake, which I doubt, my mother and I would need a ride. We'd also probably have to leave early and would need a ride back. So unless someone is willing to take us there and back, I can't go )=

anyways I have no clue as to the ride situation, I hope someone is around to give me and 2 of my mates a ride. I mean I have more in the room, but no one has said anything about going to me so I don't see the point.

just a side question.

If i was to park in the hyatt garage and then leave and then get a spot in a near by other garage..do they only charge me 10 for that day? or would they charge me 30?

If you have a room at the Hyatt, go to the hotel registration desk and get the ticket validated to your room. They charge when you check out. At least that's what they did last year. If you don't have a room they might charge the full amount for that day sans con discount...

To whoever asked me about having a room at the Hyatt...I do, but we won't have a car. Mom can't drive us to Chicago because she doesn't know any back roads there and doesn't like the highway (*headdesk*), then my dad has a tennis tournament on Saturday and couldn't come (thank Heaven!), but he also has a tennis-related meeting on Thursday, so he can't drive us the whole way there (not that that would matter here), so he's driving us to South Bend and we're taking a train.

So the reasons for what I said are: 1. mom and I can't transport ourselves to Steak 'n Shake, so we'd need a ride, 2. we still don't have a car, so we'd need a ride back to the hotel, and 3. I have a really hard time waking up in the morning, and I need to get to the dealers room as it opens Friday. My reason: I do not want to leave the con without a fox-eared hat. Because of this, I couldn't stay at Steak 'n Shake much later than 11pm.

My attendance depends on whether or not I can find a place to stay that night [free of charge, mind you], which is highly unlikely because everyone expects me to pay a zillion dollars to sleep for one night.

well the munch n' guzzle flaked on me and my group.

the main i think 8 people I saw going, were all in a minivan I think..but I was able to use my car and another in our group was too.

we asked one of the main 8 where it was, they said something about taking a left at mcdonalds or past it a little. didn't find it

so group just went to the near by mcdonalds and did carry-out.

I was disappointed, I've never been to steak n' shake and I really wanted to do it in a group.

next time I'mma bring directions to places near by..screw people's directions.
