Checkin is whenever you tell them you are checking in (You tell them when you reserved, like I told them i'd be there around 5-6 thursday, so thats my check-in)

Checkout is always Noon or 1 There is no "Late Checkout" that you can get.

Hrm... Well the confirmation e-mail doesn't say any time on it (I don't remember specifying), and I can't really remember, but I know I wouldn't be stupid enough to say anything before 11 (if I said anything at all)... So that's what I'll say.

Thanks!

NP ^^ Keep in mind, that checkout just means your stuff has to be out, so just go stuff it in your car and enjoy the con for the rest of the day!

Each hotel check in is different. If you don't specifically request early check in, then it's usually anywhere from 12-3pm I've seen. This is because they need time to refresh the rooms from the last guests.

Aygen, by saying 5-6 you were telling them you'd be checking in late (so they know you're not a no show). Otherwise, you don't have to specify.

Ahh I see. Ok ^^ I just figured they ask for a checkin-time (She asked when I would be arriving)

That is incorrect.

Last year I stayed at the hyatt and the checkout time was 11am ... we asked for a late checkout and they accomidated by letting us check out at 12pm.

They do have late checkout from what I know from experience.

Orly? ... I asked for late checkout last year and they told me standard was Noon. My mistake then ^^

Check In/Out has been the same every year since ACen has been at the Hyatt.

Check In: 3 p.m. (unless you request an early check-in, then it could be anytime the room is available)
Check Out: 12 p.m. (you can request a late check-out, but I believe they only do that for their Hyatt members)

Checkout is always a hassle because of the long lines, so make sure you're there early enough so you don't have to pay more fees. What I normally do is checkout early, pack the car up and hit the dealers room and a panel or 2 more before I head out.

As far as I know, every checkout time for any hotel is 11am.
I was in the parking lot from the false fire alarm in '12.
I overcame the ACen rapture in '11.
I survived the ACen fire in '10.
I dodged the H1N1 outbreak in '09.
I was denied ice cream at the ACen 10th Anniversary ice cream social in '07.

Checkout time is 11:00am, as noted.

In previous years (and in many typical hotel stays), you can request a late check-out by calling or visiting the Front Desk. As with most "perks" of hotel-stay, the staff will do their best to accomodate valuable customers, at their discretion. However, with huge events like ACen, they are much less likely to offer any special deals to guests. First of all, b/c the hotel is booked and they don't need to. Also, imho, the staff probably doesn't much enjoy dealing with thousands of anime fans and are more likely to be crabby and not as accomodating.

In past years, I've been able to push off check-out until 1:00pm w/ no fee. I'm a Gold Member and I tip well--I'm sure that helps! BUT this year, I noticed that the check-out policy is a lot more well-defined. From the Hyatt website: late check-out is available from 1-3pm for $50, from 3-6pm for 1/2 of the rack rate for the day, and 6pm & later is full rack rate.

So! I'll be sure to check out on Sunday morning, to avoid any fees! Don't forget, in a pinch you can send one person to check out and leave others to clean out the room. That way, you can even check out before you are totally out of the room. Just make sure you are out of the room before the cleaning service arrives!

Just to note -
Last year my group checked out by using the Hotel TV. ...Not Kidding. They had an option to check out. I suggest you check it out when you get to the rooms to see if they still have this feature - which I believe they still do.
Uh, hi!

Send me a pm if there's anything I could probably help with that is within reason of my current position and knowledge(con-goer).

Hope to meet some of you!

Yes, I usually do that every year and avoid the lines. But keep in mind that you must then have the entire folio (hotel bill) charged to the credit card you used to guarantee the room (what you gave the Front Desk when you checked in). No split charges or partial cash payment. Also, you can't dispute any charges through the TV. ;)

Right off the Hyatt website:

Check-In Time: 3:00pm
Check-Out Time: 12:00 noon

The late checkout fees were provided by pamelaNeko* above.
