I'll be entering myself in a solo skit this year and I was wondering if I would be allowed to use your projectors as part of it since my skit involves the use of Microsoft Power Point.

That is a negative on using the screens and projectors.

You may wish to reference Rule #10 in the Masquerade Rules.

That would be... a negative.

No access to the projectors and screens.

Gosh Darn. No mercy at all huh? Thats cool. Your word is law. Phooey. Was so hoping to use this idea this year. Printed a script and finished Power Point thingie and everything. I'll still try at the interviews at the con. I'm being stubborn and persistent.

Dude, give it up, if they don't have access to a screen and a projector, they're not going to make an exception for you, because they just don't have access to it! Next time ask like more than 2 weeks before the con so you have time to plan your skit around their capabilities. But seriously, I have never heard of a masquerade that DID have access to a screen...

Yeah, never saw a Masquerate to date where they did allow access to a screen.
Uh, hi!

Send me a pm if there's anything I could probably help with that is within reason of my current position and knowledge(con-goer).

Hope to meet some of you!

Katsucon does. They have a big screen behind the stage. I don't know if you'd be able to do a PowerPoint presentation with it, but you could play a video of something there, so if you timed it properly, it'd work as a video of a PowerPoint.

That's the only one with that feature that I can think of though. It's kind of an odd thing to have, I feel.

Actually, they do have screens and projectors. The screens are on the sides of the masquerade stage along with the projectors. Besides, I'd rather hear it from the Skit Review Commitee because they would at least see what my skit is about.

At Reactor 2006, one skit was allowed to use the con's screen & projector. Some guy made a movie and used it as the opener for his skit. [It was that cat couple who won for those of you who attended  ] I'm thinking, "If at Reactor, why not Acen?"

Because ACen is _NOT_ Reactor. Never has been, never will be.

You can try to convince the Masquerade Staff. Try.
