Since there seem to be a number of us roaming these forums, let's arrange us a meet-up. What day should we meet-up? What time? And where?

Ooooh...how exciting; didn't see this coming!! Maybe this would be a fun thing to do in the evening when stuff settles down and there's not so much running around to do. (That way, hopefully nobody's cosplay meet-ups will interfere.) I'd be game for Saturday night, seeing as there's the concert on Friday. What do other people think?

And oooh, I wish we could trade songs or something...*_* Not sure if I was planning on bringing my computer or not yet though...

(Oh btw...maybe you should change this thread's title to be more recognizable...I almost thought it was "Da" as in slang for "the." xD)

I'll be arriving Thursday. I only live something like an hour away, though. Not too many people show up on Thursday, at least comparatively. (A few hundred maybe? Enough for there to be a considerable registration line.)

If I ever find out what is going on with the Jrock gathering/photo shoot/party, I'll know for sure which night is best. (I have a feeling most of us would be interested in going to that too. I know I am.) And I definitely like the late party idea.

I want to bring in a Daisuke Asakura Works book (and maskalade has Cherry Garden xD with Seeker/Kinya/Sakkan/the DANK guys with RUN&GUN). It has Takanori, Onapetz, Iceman, Pool Bit Boys, a tiny bit of GUNIW TOOLS and of course, DA.

Geeee I'm really excited about a DA Family meetup!!

Yaaaaay, pictures. I can bring some stuff as well. Although... 90% of my DA collection is CDs. (Over fourty now. ) Not terribly portable, those. I can bring the inserts and stuff, though.

Saturday night should be alright. I think. (I wish I knew whether I should just commandeer the Jrock gathering altogether. This is so confusing.) Who can host this little party? I'm 99% sure this wouldn't fly with my roommates, so I can't.

Waah, I unfortunately don't own much actual "stuff." I have a few CDs...and also a yaoi doujinshi of Access drawn by Maki Murakami. (Got it at Acen last year, actually. It's really kind of amusing. The Tohma Seguchi = Daisuke Asakura link is sooo apparent. And Hiroyuki in a bear costume = Ryu-chan. xD) However, it's kind of...not with me at the moment, and I'm not sure how willing I am to ask my parents to relay it to me... ^^;;; (But if there's interest, I'll try and bring it.)

Oh, it's gonna be in someone's room? Sorry, I'm going to have a lot of roommates and I have no idea what half of their schedules are like... :\ And YES it would be so awesome if someone brought iPod speakers. And computers with mp3 files for song swapping? (I'll most likely end up bringing mine.)

I wouldn't mind seeing that doujinshi, but don't kill yourself trying to get it in time just for little old me. The only pictures I have are in a PATIPATI from earlier this year- an access article and of course, Tokyo DAte. I've got more on my computer. :3 (Like I said, my DA budget went 99% into CDs.)

I guess we could try doing it in the hotel lobby, but I don't know whether they allow people to congregate that late in public areas. (Although ACEN guests get away with murder, compared other events the hotel and convention center hold.) I know the video programming runs all night, so maybe. (Of course, the late night programming is all, uhm, adult...) I suppose if nothing else we can hang out outside. XD Certainly, we can meet up in the lobby and discuss it then if need be.

This looks like it's going be a really small gathering, though, so I'll ask my roommates anyways. I wouldn't be requesting someone to donate their hotel room if we meeting up earlier, but it's usually a good idea to take gatherings into someone's room(s) after a certain hour.

And YES BRING COMPUTERS WITH STUFF ON THEM. I'll have mine with me. :3 Ooh, I need to transfer some more stuff onto it yet. (I think I'm still missing whatever Iceman I don't have hard copies of, and some Kinya, and Gravitation stuff. Oh, and Sakkan of course. :3 And the Seeker and LAZY KNACK. And QMR!! )

In regards to Kinya and Sakkan/SPASPA, I have - literally - their entire recorded discographies (except for some cover songs etc. Nola has one of those though XD).
So if anyone wants some of those files, have at thee :3. I have one Ken CD as well. And some videos XD;. my collection has huuuuuge holes in though (I lost a TONNE of Iceman and I barely have any access )

As far as rooms are concerned, I'm staying with my brother who is staunchly anti DA Family, so I guess that's a no . But I'll definitely be meeting everyone outside and I'll have my laptop with me :3!!

Awesome, it sounds like I may actually have some stuff to share that other people want. 8) I have a lot of Access, and DA's QMR as well. Anyone have Iceman remixes? I would love to hear more stuff from the Gate:Out Remix album, or any remixes of just about anything DA-related, in fact. <3 XD

Also, does anyone have any DVDs? If you let me copy/burn them, you would 0wn my soul. o-o I have quite a few random video files of Iceman on my computer and I'd be willing to share although they're not DVD quality.

How would we transfer this stuff? I have a USB flash drive but it's not very big. Maybe burn everything on discs to let others copy the contents into their comp. from... :\

(Oh and about the doujinshi...it's easy enough for me to get ahold of it; the only problem is that I'd have to send my parents into my collection and risk the "What the hell is this?" factor. I'll think about it. XD)

Iceman!! o-o Dark Half and Lost Complex = <3. My computer can rip and burn DVDs, so I'm gonna snag that one from you if that's okay! And networking sounds good, but I'll leave the setup to someone else...I hear it's not that difficult to do, but I've never done it before so I wouldn't know. ^^;

x_X YES, DO. Iceman lives are the BEST! I don't have an all-region DVD player, but the software I have should be able to rip a DVD and remove its region-encoding, and then burn it to a disc. So if you bring a blank recordable DVD I can try to make a region-free copy for you. It has worked before on a couple of my Ayumi Hamasaki R2 discs.

Edit: Actually I think the DVD drive ripping it has to be R2 or region-free in order to read it. I did the Ayu discs on a different computer, not my laptop. Hmmm...crap... OH! Maskalade, are you bringing your computer? Yours would be R2, wouldn't it (assuming it has a DVD drive)? I'm pretty sure Japan and the UK are in the same region (for some insane, enviable reason~ ).

I'll be stealing Sakkan and SpaSpa stuff. :3 I have pretty much everything else on my desktop, and should have it all moved before ACEN. (Can't think of any reason why not.) Also, even the smallest flash drives can store a lot of mp3s, so trading music files at least should be easy. I'll also have actual hard copies of a lot of stuff. I have all the access a person could want save for Diamond Cycle. I neeeeed it.

No, I don't have Re-sync GHOST. But I've got all of their studio albums up through Rippin' GHOST. Diamond Cycle is the mini-album they put out in January. I would have bought it upon release, but I was broke at the time.

I also have most of Hiro's solo work (all of his albums, anyways, even the one he pretends never happened <3).. anyone interested in that? I love Hiro to death, he's the reason I love access so much. <3

In regards to the DVD region thing, I've watched stuff on it countless times on here so I'm guessing it works. Problem being to rip it I'd pretty much HAVE to be in a room (battery power on my laptop is abysmal - 2 hours at maximum) and it takes a while to rip XD.
that and it has a nasty habit of overheating and switching off, but so long as I'm not running anything else it should be fine.

Once you get it ripped, if we can get the DVD image file onto my computer somehow, I can burn discs pretty fast. So, everyone bring recordable DVDs if you want to try and get a copy. *really hoping it works*

Rar...you don't know how lucky you are to live in the UK when it comes to Japanese DVDs. It seems like we have to go to all lengths over here just to get them to play, which is damn annoying after going to the trouble of importing them to begin with... I hate region-encoding when it comes to things like DA videos, come on, which will never be released in another region anyway, so why bother with the @#&! region protection...
