Pokemon Diamond/Pearl

So i picked up pokemon pearl today! im so excited >^.^< im waiting for my friend to get here so we can get all the starters.
When you're in a town like this all covered with smoke, you forget that there's a world outside. Nothing amazing happens here. And you get used to that, used to a world where everything is ordinary. Every day we spend here is like a whole lifetime of dying slowly. But now Haruko is here. That's how I know there really is a world outside.

My Member number is what? 9,000!!!!!

Except all the starters except Piplup suck. So just pick him and be happy.

Yeah I swear I had the hardest time choosing. They all looked kinda lame to me.

Torchic proved that Fire/Fighting sucks, and there are far better Grass/Bug types out there. At least with Piplup it makes the first gym a joke since they will be double weak to his water attacks.

I would have had no problem with the first gym. but my pokemon wont listen to me! i have the first badge now. but even pokemon that get to lvl 11 decide to ignore me. im not cut out to be a trainer :(

I got Diamond AND Pearl. Well ... my mom got me both. xD She was like, "I knew these came out today and I thought you wanted them, so I got you both!". Even though I just wanted Diamond, but having both is cool, I suppose. Because now I can play in Pearl as well and then trade with myself using my brother's DS to get all the Pokemon! Whooo!

But yeah. I'm playing through Diamond right now. I started with Chimchar solely for the fact that my brother started with Piplup [apparently so did everyone else, because he's freaking adorable], and I didn't want to be the same! Y'arrrrg!

Don't get me wrong, I WANTED to start with Piplup. He's ridiculously cute. I've gotta stay true to my fire Pokemon though ^^; Chimchar isn't too bad.

Right now I'm just trying to level up a Ponyta so I can get my second gym badge :P

Sorry I don't know either. I'm sure somewhere in the game they might tell you, or you might not need them? I dunno, I hope you get your anwser, if I find out, I'll tell ya.

this is what the instruction manual says. "Start and continue your game. visit either the pokemon wi-fi club at bif of a pokemon center, the global trade station, or the battle tower to obtain your own friend code."

its on your pal pad in yout key items if you dont have it yet you can get it after you beat the first gym leader and goto the pokemon center's basement. She should give you a pal pad if you dont have one and you friend code is on it.

You don't even need to beat the Gym Leader.

When you get to Oreburgh City, go down to the basement of the Pokemon Center. There's a person in there you can get your Pal Pad from, and then just connect to wi-fi in order to get your friend code. It'll save your code and other people that you have added on your Pal Pad.

I was perfectly happy to buy another Pokemon game for the DS, but once I started playing it, I was amazed at all the content thats actually been added. I approve of almost all the new Pokemon, but now the old ones are starting to show their age. The "Pidgey" of Diamond/Pearl (Starly) has higher ATK and SPD than Dodrio in it's final evolution. :o

Heh, the D/P starters follow the same old start rule. Their first evolution is always cute looking, the second one is always mean looking, and the third one is downright frightening.

I finally beat the second gym leader! gahhh!! my traded pokemon were not listening to me at all!

Anybody had any luck with Shiny pokemon? I caught a Shiny Magikarp, who is now a Shiny Gyarados.

LoL I had a traded Onyx and My Alakazam *Lvl 18* ... which I got via trade ... cause well thats the only way my kadabra would evolve ... I've been lvling them without the 2nd badge ... every time I'd have Onyx use a move ... he would use another ... sometimes he would even fall asleep.
