Update:
I still have yet to get my badge in the mail. So I'm left to wonder what happens if you never end up getting your badge at all.
And also, I did attend the gripe session, and did bring up registration. If badge mailing is done again next year, the gist of it is, is that they will have to use bulk mail because of their status as a not-for-profit business. Something to do with State law I believe.
If I'm wrong about that, please someone from *staff* correct me.

well we just got back from acen last night we are still not happy really very upset about not getting our badge we pre paid for an were suppsoe to be sent to us in mail an didnt recieve them before we left so on friday we had to wait in line for 5 hours to get areplacement badge 5 hours in line when if badges would of been sent on time we wouldnt of had to do ....what a waste of my time an really kind of ruin are mood for rest of convention . so on saturday we didnt stay at convention went site seeing an left sunday...if i had my way i would want all our money back on our two badges we bought !!! angry.gif

I just got my badge in the mail today. 
lol Though I am in California, so I guess it's not THAT big of a surprise compared to the closer people.
I'm just so thankful I got our hotel reservations for Thursday night, so waiting in that huge line didn't interfere with the convention itself at all, and we still had a place to sleep. lol
Though the 2-3 hour line was still a pain, I've stood in line longer, so I didn't think it was too big of a deal. And the line probably would have gone loads faster if it weren't for the emo-whiners argueing with the clerks about "breaches in contract" and "breaking the law". I was waiting for the people behind us to slit their wrists for attention or something, if they were told they had to pay the $5. They were the worst part of standing in line, so it was almost dissapointing when they didn't...
But yeah, if half of the people hadn't shown up ready to pick a fight, then it probably would have gone faster.
I hope the programming guides are better next year as well. I couldn't figure out the difference between the voice actor panels and their autograph signings... I ended up missing out on a lot, I think... *whimpers*
And for my final comment: THE DEALER'S ROOM NEEDS TO STAY OPEN LONGER!!!
I vote 8pm instead of 6pm... lol

Okay, for the record, it may have SEEMED like it, but the non pre-reg line did NOT move as fast as you people think. I was IN IT, and I waited 4 hours to get my badge.

My four year old granddaughter's badge never did show up - although the rest of our badges (mine and my two daughters) were received the Wednesday before the con. We didn't have any problem getting it replaced though - we just explained the situation at the badge printing area and they took care of it right away.

May I suggest something for the situation for the attendees that haven't received their badges or arrived late?
I don't know if this is too late, and it all depends on how the post office work and what their date stamp is, but if the attendees received their badges late, could they send it back along with the open envelope to prove they received late, and refund them with a badge for 2008?

That would be cool.... However I dont see MAPS doing that...

Some of my friends haven't received it till now... what really happened to cause such a delay? Anyway, and how come future con registration wasn't/isn't available? They already announced the dates for next year on the official site, so...

has anyone who has send in the envelopes gotten their refund back? if so what was your option of paying,how was it returned*ie check, or directly deposited back into your account?* and when did you send it out?

60193 - Schaumburg, IL received badge 5/29/07. 15.54 miles away from Rosemont according to Mapquest.
Can anyone from ACEN/MAPS explain why you want the envelope back? There are no cancellation marks or anything else from the Post Office.

it's prolly just a delay. this year they had one too. we still have nearly a year. XP
