Not bad room rates but whats the distance like for walking?? We got some rooms there for the weekend.

I'd say maybe around five minutes or 3 blocks. You'll be almost the same distance to the dealers' room/artist alley as the Hyatt. Check google earth's satellite images to give you a visual idea, but it's not much at all.
