Current Back-reg Situation How to play Catch-up in registration

There are a lot more than I had originally anticipated, but we now have everything we received organized. If your check didn't cash yet, but you mailed one (this shouldn't be many people) there's still a chance it will be in our next deposit (probably Saturday which means give another week to clear). If your check did clear a while back then we have your form, but just need to enter your data. This is the slow part of the process, and because the mail-in forms used back then were incomplete we're missing a lot of data. Like birthdates (We will default you to age 17 if we don't have it) and emergency info. What may be helpful is if you fill out an online registration so that when we search for your name in our database you will come up and all we have to do is mark you complete. This would definitely make things go a lot faster and you will receive an email when we have updated your status.
If you do not receive an email, it is possible you didn't give us an email address, wrote it wrong, or wrote it illegibly and we had to guess a little. This would be another good reason for you to help us by filling in the online form. If you don't, we'll still get to you, I'm just hoping to speed up the process a little, and maybe make Jayson's, our Reg head's, job a touch easier. Please only fill the online form in once. If you already have, don't do it again. We'll find you.
January-February Registrations - Checks (not including the past week or so):
There is a small handful of you who's checks were not deposited, but these too will be included in the next bank run. The Majority of you should be receiving confirmations soon, but right now our priority is the older registrations first. We are doing our best to get to everyone.
January-February Registrations - Credit Cards:
I am handling these myself. I'm trying to do oldest first so if you sent your payment recently it may not be until the beginning of next week that I can process you. Unlike with checks, I won't mark you complete until your payment has come back as approved. If your card is declined I will place a hold on your status and you should get an email informing you of the hold.
If you've emailed Jayson, he is trying to get back to everyone, but has a lot of email to go through so a response will take time. I and some other staff members are trying our best to help him get things done. It is my hope we can be caught up in the next week, but that means everyone will be pouring a lot of time into all of this.
I'll try to keep you all updated.

Is there someone I can contact via phone? I've tried the email (It's just ignored) and I'm freaking out. Maybe it was a mistake sending my payment in, but I did it before the online payment was availible.

I just filled out an online form myself; since I sent my Early Bird reg to the Devon Avenue mail site after the Great Fiasco of '06, that might be causing part of the problem, but I doubt it since I sent in a reg form and even included the palm card that Acen staff was handing out at Reactor as well.

I just used the online registration thing to enter my info in case that would do any good.
If nothing else, when can I expect a confirmation email? I heard of at least one person who went to Ohayocon with me and pre-regged there has already recieved an email. (Unless I mis-understood them.)

I'm a little nervous about all this since ACen is now less than a month away and I haven't recieved so much as a confirmation number.
Obviously i'm hesitant to put any sort of personal info on here, but since the pm's don't seem too do a whole lot, what can I do?

If you are making an inquiry about your registration and expect somebody to answer your question, please include some information about your registration, like a confirmation number, a name and address, or at least an email address.
That way, somebody can take a look at your registration and let you know about your status.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

What about those of us who have sent multiple PM's and e-mails to the Reg Help line, Customer Service, and the REG DH only to be ignored, despite having given important info to help things along? I know these people have a life outside of the con, I was one of them last year, but the way things have gone for the past month is unacceptable. The only staffers I remember seeing posting here in the Registration section answering questions have been outside of Reg (big thanks to the IRT guys, Beryl, and Sam for trying to help us). I understand if things in people's lives are overwhelming, but at some point you have to look at just how helpful/effective you are and say "Maybe for the good of the con I should let someone else take over." If people aren't willing to do that then their Section Chiefs, Con Chair, or even the MAPS Directors should make that decision for them.

Can I ask a slightly more useful question on the same topic, then? (I posed it in another thread but I'm aware that it was probably the wrong forum in which to do so)
As of this point, mid-April, are there legitimate reasons for a large number of people who registered in January or February, before the first price increase, to be worried that they haven't received confirmations yet? If yes, then perhaps we all ought to post with whatever information you need so we can get those confirmations. If NO...and the answer is just "we're working on it as fast as we can, it will get to you, I just don't know when" then please tell us that. A handful of people slipping through the cracks happens every year, but the sheer volume of responses and threads being started or added-to by people wondering when they're going to get their registration confirmation is...kind of scary, if you ask me.
I wouldn't want to publicly post sensitive information (which is why I sent a check instead of writing my credit card number on a form!) unless there's a legitimate, serious possibility that my registration has gone missing. If that's not the case, and it's just backlog and all us Jan/Feb checkwriters and Nov cash-givers just need to sit tight and wait and not panic for another two weeks, then we ought to be told that. The fact that a good number of us have at least some kind of confirmation that our checks have been cashed means our registration got there - so we just want to know why we don't have our email confirmation.
But really, time IS getting to be of the essence. And my bank doesn't mail me canceled checks, so I don't have paper proof that my check was cashed to bring in to the convention.

First off, or rather in reverse order, if you ask your bank, they have to provide you with either a scan or a statement (electronic or paper) showing all of your transactions from any given period. You can print that out with no problem, but if you ask for a scan of your check, they will give it to you...make sure they scan both sides, so you can see the "Midwest Animation Promotion Society" stamp on the back.
Second, as I said, there are a lot of people who entered multiple registrations, some with different email addresses, so that is another thing to do...if you have more than one email address, check them all; it may be there already. In addition, a large number of people gave us bad email addresses, so you may have a completed registration, but we have no way of notifying you of it.
Now, on top of that, I am looking at a large pile of registrations that people submitted, that we haven't processed because of numerous errors on either the check or the form. We have called or emailed many of them and are waiting to hear back from them.
Each of us who have been working on entering and completing registrations have huge stacks of paperwork at our homes, which are all completed registrations. I know personally that I have no outstanding registrations in my pile.
Again, this is why we are asking people to send us their info...we can only help solve a problem, if we know about it.
There should not be too many more people who registered earlier before March/April to be worried about their status, as we are completing tons of them each day.
As I am lousy with screen names/forum IDs, have I spoken to you yet? If not, PM me with your info and I'll try to help you out.
But not right now (11:02PM CST), as I am about to go home for the night.....<sleepy> and I don't want to get beaten by my wife.....
