Well, hello peoples, it's Jnkolm again and we're bringing back our trio (plus guest) to Acen to play out our whacky antics. some of you may recognize us (or just me perhaps) and some of you may not, though you were there. Or you are new to the show or Acen and you don't know anything. Well, in all cases we'll be glad to be there and hope everyone can make it.

Well, first and foremost here's a bit of a summary for those who don't know what this show is:

It's Whose Line is it Anime, the show where everything's made up and the points don't matter. Based on the hit ABC show but with an anime twist! Watch Ben Murphy, Joseph Murphy and Nathan Beck perform popular games (provided by Josh McCann) from the show; including Scenes from a Hat, Party Quirks, and Questions Only. They're constantly bringing audience members on stage so don't be afraid to get our attention and volunteer...you might even get some pocky. This show is family friendly so bring everyone you can and join in on the fun!

Okay, now onwards for our more patient fans. Our show is, of course, an improvised show. Whose Line is a comical, often fast-paced show in which we try to instill anime-related jokes (humor about games, internet things, cartoons, Sci-fi such as Star Wars, anything else that might come up in a convention...and slapstick violence of course) in as many of our games as we can, though at rare times we may do something that has nothing to do with anime, but is still good fun. Our show is 1 or 2 hours long (not sure yet), may be on more then one timeslot, and we bring at least one volunteer (or more) onto the stage for 90% of our games. Basically, it's all good and we really enjoy it, I'd say that just performing Whose Line is the best part of every convention I go to, so I guess watching us is pretty good too =D
And now, Here's a brief list of some of our games:

Party Quirks ---------------------------- Scenes from a Hat
Interrogation --------------------------- Whose Line
World's Worst -------------------------- New Choice
2-line Vocabulary ---------------------- Film and Anime styles
Standing, Sitting, Lying down --------- Animannequins
Living Scenery ------------------------- Questions Only
Single Syllable game ------------------ Sound Effects
News Flash ----------------------------- Dubbing
If you know what I mean

We won't play them all (time constraints), but that's all the ones I can think of right now that we've done, there might be others. And sometimes we throw candy like gummies and whatnot (just to stall, but don't tell anyone) so that's sort of like a game where we only lose money. Ah, and if you'd like a one or two sentence description of a game just let me know and I'll fix one up for here. Or I might do it out of boredom.

I'm not sure what exactly you need help with, suggestions perhaps?

Regardless, I went to see the show last year and you guys did a great job! For anybody out there who's trying to figure out what events to go to, definitely check this one out. It really helps if you're a fan of Whose Line/Improv. (And I'm actually not even a big improv fan, they just know how to handle themselves.)

And yes, bribery did seem to come into action. ;) Not like that makes a difference. People came to see the show and they got more than they asked for.

Is it.. for sure Ad-libbed? >.> 'Cuz I've seen Whose Line-parody's before that have been scripted, and they lose a lot of their humor.

Yes, I tricked you, meaning I'm not quite done talkin'. And even I tend to skip (or skim) posts as long as that one, and this right here is the important part where you, the fans, come in.

We use jokes straight from you all. In order to do this most effectively, I'm going to ask that you provide suggestions for whatever you think might be funny to see. Go watch the ABC show to find out the games and put your ideas right here for what might be a funny idea for jokes. Please don't take offense if we do not use your ideas, or if we don't even play the game at all, we can't do everything but we will try as much as we can =). Oh, and we won't use specific jokes, we do improvisation, we just need a general idea to go with.
Now then, you all can help us with any game, or even provide random silly scenes that could be used for an entire game. But mostly we need ideas for the games Party Quirks, World's Worst, and Scenes from a Hat.

Examples of ideas for Hat Scenes: "What Vash the Stampede does on his day off" (something we might make from that - hair stylist, donut-eating championship, etc) "Things that Miroku can't suck into his wind tunnel" (Cute little puppies 'aww', an ugly girl 'I don't want her in there, ew', etc) "Strange things to find at an Anime con booth" (No hentai!?!? *shock*, etc)

Ex. of World's Worst: "way to get a girl at an anime con" "actor to play as Speed Racer in the new Speed racer movie" and so on.

Party Quirks: anything you think would be goofy to see at a party...or anywhere I guess. Example: Vash looking for the World's greatest donut (I use Vash a lot in examples here) another Ex: Is dating every girl in the convention.

You get the idea. Don't skip this post please, or at least if you do, read this: We need ideas for our show! For Scenes, World's Worst, and Party Quirks. If you think of any others though, we'll take 'em~

thank you, and that's all I 'ave to say...for now. And I'll keep everyone posted about our show and when/where/what's going on. Have a nice day from Jnkolm.

Aye it's ad-libbed, if for no other reason we just don't have the patience or mind-power to memorize everything. And we take audience people also so we have a hard enough time relying on them without being constrained to a script XD The only thing that's seen is that we have to gather up cards (during the show). And we have to place suggestions here in a document so that our various crew can filter out the junk and give us things to use. Occassionally we take ideas on the spot from the audience, such as in Interrogation, Film and Anime Styles, and Questions Only, but typically we like to rely on our card-holder to have the real goods. Not everything is gold and can be taken for good jokes XD of course, even on the real ABC show Drew says for Scenes from a Hat- "before the show we asked for suggestions from the audience and we take the good ones and put 'em in this hat" so we're not about to act like we can take anything and everything and make it funny, heh. But everything that comes out of our mouths is made up on the spot, even if we do need a little help from a filter system.

If we do get like....no ideas, we might have to resort to writing up our own, it's unfortunate but there's nothing else that can be done =/ we might just sorta write some general ideas (with no jokes in mind roughly 98% of the time) and once again...have them filtered, even we aren't geniuses XD

but really it's a lot easier and a lot more fun to have it be improv, so that's what we do. I've had some people come up to me and say "you're show is way better then when I saw 'so-and-so', probably because I heard they script it' I won't name names since we might see them in the future =P We're not about to do that, the show runs smooth enough as it is.
Oh, and the introduction to the show is indeed scripted XD it's only like 30-something seconds, so ha >.>

And yea, I do likes my bribery. Did you get on stage Nacho?

and I feel the need to end all my posts with- Suggestions please, don't forget and thank you

Nope. I've never been too much of an improv person, I tend to stay away from it and watch others instead. I was amidst the screaming pocky fans though. Then again, I guess they were everywhere. ;) That was some nice improv last year though what with the girl from the Party Quirks scene and the glass of water. Totally saw it coming though.

I'll try to give you guys some suggestions, I've been sitting here trying to think and nothing's coming to me. If I think of anymore I'll post them. Apologies if you've had any of these before. Last year at ACEN was the first time I'd seen you guys! Also apologize for any lame ones. I try my best. I'm sure you'll get tons of great responses once people see this though.

Hat Scenes- What does it really take to be a ninja?, A date with Optimus Prime, Homestar Runner characters at the drive in, Things you'd hear from Dr. Venture of the Venture Brothers (Had to put something VB related.)

World's Worst- Convention Guest, Video game idea, Way to arrive at a con, Species of Pokemon, Uses for your lightsaber, Items to sell in the Dealer's Room, Hotel Accomodations, Actor to play Speed Racer(I actually liked that suggestion. I'll put it up again, regardless of the fact that it's yours.)

I believe my brother spoke to Jazz on the phone, or at least he told me he would and then later told me we'd be going to Acen XD though there were no details about what we'll be doing- the brother just told me to make a thread 'ere and that it would be stickied so I finally did it, heh. I'll see about who to contact and then e-mail our info (performers' names, number of them, what we need to perform, etc) quite soon, we're not quite done confirming things right now though XD Ah, and you can PM me if I'm mistaken about anything.

And thanks Nacho, we look forward to seeing you there.
I also forgot my brother wants suggestions for a newer game called "What If" that he just came up with some time ago. It's kinda like scenes from a hat...but different. an Example would be: "What if the Cast of Yugioh came to Pokemon" or "What if Inuyasha and Sesshomaru weren't brothers"

Once again -I feel the need to end all my posts with- Suggestions please, don't forget and thank you (for Scenes from a hat, Party Quirks, World's Worst, and What If mostly) just to keep it fresh in your minds =P

Aye, Louis Ramey has one of my favorite stand-up acts =P

Anywho, as regarding the person that said to do Scenes and world's worst, I'm not sure. We may play one or the other, but not both. Of course, we don't know our exact show times, so we may play one on Saturday and one on Sunday. But really the point of this thread is to get ideas for those games, though a few other game ideas are helpful too. But Scenes and World's Worst are games that we need a lot of suggestions for, since we have to perform more then 5 of them on stage, and not all the suggestions we get are usable XD If we get enough ideas, then yea we'll do 'em (I enjoy those games quite a bit myself) but I can't promise anything, especially because playing all of our games would take over 3 hours, and we don't have (nor do we want >.>) that kind of time slot all at once.

So, if people can give us suggestions for the games they'd like to see (namely Scenes from a Hat, World's Worst, and What If, but don't hold back the others) then that'll increase the odds of seeing us perform it~

hey, nice. I love these shows, I even made an account to post with, so I'll definitely be there. And I'll help a little! Hope they're okay...

Worlds worst Bonus features on a DVD
World's worst Thing to find in the Dealer's room
World's worst object for Miroku to suck in with his wind tunnel
Scenes from a hat
Why Inuyasha is (or was) so popular
How superheroes know they have superpowers.
Sephiroth on his day off.
What if Anime was like real life?
Times where teleporting would be nice

Well, I hope that helps...if I think of anything else I'll come right back =D Can't wait to see the show. I'll want on stage =P

Well, we hope to see all of you on Saturday for our show. It looks like our show is at 9 p.m. in Ballroom A, I don't have my map on me but as I recall it's not too hard to miss that place. Not much else is happening..for about an hour anyway. And you can always go to Soap Bubble or whatever a little late anyway. Ah, and check out Your Favorite Anime Sucks, I think they'll be doing their show right next to us, but a little later. I'm sure there will be plenty of con attendees for both of us, at that time of day both our rooms might be packed if this year's anything like last year, we all do pretty good shows so that'll be nyice. So have fun ever'one, I might see some of you Friday or Saturday morning, but I'll definitely see plenty of ya Saturday night. Time for me to go get directions to there, buh-byez.
