I really would like to go , but would my dress from pita ten count? everyone mistakes it for lolita instead of pita ten

I don't think anyone really has the right to disclude cosplayers from a Lolita event at an ANIME con 8B ( <-- nerd face lol)

With so many Lolitas in one spot there is absolutely no way we can go on without having some kind of party!

I don't have a room yet but I have an idea for hosting a party. (However, as I am in the artist alley and we have CRAZY EARLY hours this year, this will totally not be a midnight tea party T_T )

Well, step one is I make my boyfriend get a room.

Step two: since only a certain amount of people will be able to fit in this room, you will have to RSVP and there will be a small maximum attendance.

Three: You MUST wear Lolita, Aristocrat, or boy-style to the event, or it is no fun.

Four: I would provide tea and probably some sandwiches, scones, tarts, or something. Something inexpensive.

Five: To cover the cost of tea and food, I would ask attendees to make a small donation based on attendance (between $1-5, less if more people come, more if less people come). This donation would be optional but greatly appreciated.

Six: Men who like to wear prince-style, kodona, ega, etc. PLEASE COME I guarantee at least one other Prince!! (my boyfriend)

Oops, I love lolita so much it makes me late for work. So, how does this tentative plan sound to you lovelies? *rushes out the door*

I am not going to set any strictly lolita rules, that would be rather obnoxious. I would say as long as you are dressed in a popular Japanese street fashion you should be fine. If you come wearing a kimono or school girl outfit, I would probably kick you out.

I talked with my roomies and its kool for us to have the party Friday night cuz they wanna go to soap bubble on saturday.

I wasn't able to get a suite but I do have a room on resrve at the Hayatt.
I don't know what type of room it is though.

Do you guys think that a room with twin beds would be bigger than the one with a king size bed? If so then I will request that type of room depending on how many peeps are coming.

If there are too many to fit into a room then I'm not sure what we could do.

Unless... if the weather is really nice then we could have it outside maybe??

Hmmm... How long do you have until you have to make a final decision on the rooms? I was planning on making a trip out to Rosemont this weekend or sometime soon to survey the hotel rooms (to make sure they can fit all the people we're planning on having in our room), and I could tell you which one is bigger after that, if you have that much time to make a decision.

As for the outside idea, if it's warm and we have a way of lighting it, that sounds like it could be fun, but I'd keep it as a last resort.

While I don't speak for my entire room, we are gone for most of the time. At night we most likely have one person bumming around the room for a while - usually to rest their feet and chill out.

If I was to talk about the rest of my roommates about this (there will be 5 of us this year) I'm sure they wouldn't be opposed.

There would have to be a few rules though even before I talked to them.

1) Please don't touch (specifically break) anything of ours. Don't rummage through our bags of clothes, things that we've bought, we would most likely put it in a closet or something.

2) Don't touch the mini-fridge/bar. It's expensive and we would prefer not to pay for it.

3) One of us would have to be in the room while all this goes on, just to make sure it's not getting trashed or destroyed - sorry in advance if they're in street clothes and kill the mood - it's who ever feels kind enough to stay back and make sure nobody dies.

Also a few questions.

Would you be able to give an exact time? How many people do you expect to show up to this? Would they come in shifts?

No promises on anything, but the more you can be specific about the better it is for me to pitch this to everyone else who stays in the room. On Friday I would most likely stay back - just so my friends wouldn't have to miss food for something I volunteered us for, on Saturday it would most likely be someone else seeing as some of my friends would most likely stay back. Problem with Saturday is that we need to drive back on Sunday - so it would be preferable if it didn't go too late.

Well I can't give you a definate on the day, but I can promise it will start at 11:30, and go for at least an hour and a half. And, now that I think about it, it would be better to have it on Friday. Sleep deprivation and high-speed vehicles don't mix well. The only problem with having it on Friday, is you'd miss a night out with your friends... Which I don't want to make you do if you don't want to. So... yeah. Only offer your room on Friday if you really don't mind missing mexican with your friends so that I don't feel bad, lol.

Hey im one of Alopex's roommates and I owuldnt see a problem with this however friday would probally be better simply because we need to drive back on sunday and check out and what not. As far as food on friday goes we would most likely be donw b4 11:30 if that is the correct time that I saw for this shindig to start anyway im sure we will discus it with the rest of the people in our room ond know hopefully soon.

The tea party will happen Friday night at 11:30. The ending time is as of yet undetermined, however I'm talking it over with our room volunteer.

Speaking of our room volunteer, it was suggested that everyone brings a small snack or such for the party. It would be great if you guys could do so! Even some pocky would count!

What about Waloli? As horribly nerdy as I sound, I've studied a lot about the different styles of Lolita, meaning that I looked up the site that CheckThisOutChiki has (it rocks, by the way), and it's one of those altered kind of kimono.
