As 2006 approaches a close, I'm curious what people's thoughts are for game of the year. And I'm talking any platform.

Really theres no one game that I believe solidly absolutely deserves it. Theres a lot of fun games that I really enjoyed, but nothing that I played that I kept coming back to so that I could play again and again. Still as it would be really lame if I didn't make a decision, having started this thread and all, so I'm going to go with Dead Rising.

It had a pretty good story line. I like the zombie in the mall setting, classic definitely. I like the wide variety of weapons that you could use in unique ways. It allowed for a fair amount of open ended gameplay. You didn't even have to follow the storyline at all really unless you wanted the true ending. Plus it holds quite a bit of replay value as its impossible (unless you're a stone cold stud pro at the game) to save everyone in one trip through the game.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess... e___e I've been waiting for this game... <33 I have a poster from when it was just "Legend of Zelda" and had no other title. And at least for Nintendo, and according the Nintendo site, it's been the most wanted game for... EVER! Still is... Lol.

I would have to say FFXII.

Dead Rising is awesome, and I would get a 360 just to play that game, but I dont know if it would be up there in the "Game of the Year' nominees. It still deserves some kind of award.

BTW, did anyone watch the SpikeTV VG Awards show? I recorded it but Im just too lazy to watch it.

I love Twilight Princess! Its a lot of fun and it really makes use of the Wii's contoller. Trauma Center-Second Opinion is pretty good also.
