I might be there depending on if I get accepted to go on the trip that a CLC club is sponsering for the Chinese New Year event. If I was not accepted, well I might not be there at all. I was going to ask if anyone at this forum goes to Grayslake College of Lake County, if they did, they could could go with the club in which students get expenses paid. But I just found out that the deadline to sign up for the trip is up. So sorry about this.

The complication that I have going is that I tried calling one of the club sponsers to indicate that I was interested in going. I only reached the voice mail and as a result I was waiting for callback. It never came. So right now I am in hiatus as to whether I will actually go or not.

It's not that I want to ditch people, but I never quite intended for this meetup to get this big. Sorry ;; Besides, it seems that it'll be easy to move around in smaller groups anyway.

Wouldn't it be easier to let Kasemei or someone else take over then?

my suggestion is to meet near the huge pillar thing at the square at around 11AM. I know of a few places in Chinatown to get some good anime posters and collectables if anyone wants a pre-acen spree


depending on if people are going to eat there or eat before they go, maybe we'll eat there? the thing is I think Chinatown would be crowded...so I'd suggest people eat before they get there..otherwise...maybe start eating at 11:30 to catch the parade at 1?

Trust me, they'll be enough ppl showing up that it won't be hard to spot them even in a slightly wide open space like that.

And there's really nothing to take over because I never intended this to be an actual meetup, really. Honestly, you guys can do whatever you want. Chinatown Square is not that big but big enough to have a big crowd of people.

Kasemei can take over if she wants, but I'd rather she didn't change what's already been planned on. Just so it's not confusing ><

I suggested eating after the parade because it's been said that the restaurants are less crowded afterwards.

It was said in the beggining that this in't a meetup. It's a free gathering for those who want to enjoy the parade and celebrate the Chinese New Year. If you want to come along, then come and enjoy the celebration If you're there in hopes of a meetup, I'm sure there's plenty of people that would love to do so. In which case, the meetup group can keep haning out and doing their thing, while anyone who is there to just celebrate and enjoy the parade will do their thing. I will be with Tsukareta at the Zodiac square (yes the place across the street from Phoenix). I also plan on doing some shopping while I'm there. Hehe afterwards I'm stealing Tsukareta for myself

dude, carnage, I haven't dueled in soooo long but I'll bring my deck. no disk though, I'm way too lazy to bring that. My friend's gunna think I'm a total nerd, but I'll definetly duel ya. It's been so long since I have. used to do tournament style, till they changed a crapload of rules.

I in no way wanna cause any confusion, but since tsukareta says that she never intended this to be a meetup, and since a lot of the people think this is a meet, I'll offer the following suggestion.

People who wanna come with me: PM me for my number or meet at the meet. I'll be wearing a black chinese kimono with red flowers all over it, black dress pants, a really long poofy coat, and maybe a red oriental style jacket. I'll be the other cute asian there besides tsukareta. (oh wait, there's gunna be tons of Asians. XP) If I can locate my ACEN badge (chances are I won't) I'll wear that. People who want to go with me, I'll be going shopping for anime stuffs. I need a few more posters. XD
