Oh, yeah you're probably right, I haven't kept up with it. The last time I heard it was under Infinti because it was too expensive to be under Nissan, or something, because Infiniti is like Nissan's luxury line or something. xD

I have totally customized 2001 Monte Carlo. After market hood scoop with red strips and a Japanesse symbol on the scoop, ground effects, muffler with extended tail pipes, dragon graphics on the doors, chrome rims, mexican (anime lookin) stickers along the windows. I would love for my car to be in the auto show, just let me know.
Upcoming conventions:
ACEN, AnimeIowa, AWA

ACEN Cosplays:
Seto Kaiba (Yugioh)
Gerard (Fairy Tale)
Gaara or Panda Gaara
Hatsuharu (Fruits Basket)

Kakekage Gaara
"With Sand I can do anything"

This is not _my_ car by any means, but I took pictures of this car at last ACEN. What about asking him, if you can find him, to put his car in the show?

really if you have the car i'd consider putting it in the show if i can personally examine the car myself.

so whenever you have time to show me the car is all good by me.

Well, kind of but not yet. I work up at Jaguar Performance in Mokena, and I've got this as a project car. The body is in very good shape but it needs quite a lot of work. Used to be a parts car. Now it's mine lol. Should be running by then though, if not, I do own a 97' Jaguar Vander Plas. Though it's not quite the same.

oh yeah just to let everyone know the tattooist will be at the car show as well and doing some nice anime tattoo's and any other kind of tattoo that anyone might want. his prices are very reasonable and his work is very good. he has tattooed at past acen's and at reactor as well.

Yo Allen, two quick questions...

#1. Let say if someone bring their car to the show... Will they get a free con badge???

#2. Do you have any suggestions where I can get a custom paint job in Chicago? Since I want to change it to an ACen Blue....

It would be amusing if there was music from Initial D (or other eurobeat music) playing in the background at the car show. :D

for question one yes i'm goin to be getting people badges for donating there cars to the car show thats the least i can do.

as for question 2 depends on what you want to spend ron. getting your whole car repainted and getting it done right is very expensive especially the color change your thinking of. you wanna go from a really dark color to a fairly lighter color. your looking to spend at least $2000 to $3000 on that paint job. also you'd have to get your car into paint now to be done by con. if you want some paint shop info PM me and we'll talk about it.

i would like to keep the cars strictly japanese a good amount of tuning nothing to ricer i like simple JDM style stuff. if you've got some anime related graphics on the car and im talking about full hood or body graphics thats fine too as long as it looks good on the car and your car has stuff done to it besides the stickers for example rims, suspension (lowered), carbon pieces (hood, fender, trunk). anything to make the car stand out from stock.

i will make exceptions on certain vehicles in terms of if they are stock.
these cars i will allow into the show no matter what and they must be in MINT condition.

93-98 Twin Turbo Supra's
93-95 Twin Turbo RX-7's
89-92 Turbo 2 RX-7's
90-96 Twin Turbo 300ZX
03-07 EVO
04-07 STI
ANY JDM VEHICLES (RHD)
89-93 240SX COUPE OR HATCH WITH A SR20 SWAP AND/OR S13 FRONT END CONVERSION
94-98 240SX WITH SR20 SWAP AND/OR S15 FRONT END CONVERSION

also if anyone has any old school japanese cars that would be cool too.

70's 2dr corolla's
70's celica's
70's nissan 510's
70's nissan 240Z, 280Z
70's mazda RX3
70's Honda's

other cars i would put in to the show as well are

86-93 ALL TRAC TURBO CELICA
84-86 COROLLA HATCHBACK OR COUPE (MUST BE TUNED DRIFT STYLE)
93-95 CIVIC HATCHBACK MUST HAVE SWAP OR TURBO LOTS OF TUNING
96-00 CIVIC HATCHBACK MUST HAVE SWAP OR TURBO OR TYPE-R CONVERSION
97-2001 INTEGRA TYPE R STOCK FORM WITH JDM FRONT END CONVERSION OR TUNED/TURBO JDM FRONT END CONVERSION
92-2001 SC300/SC400 TURBO WITH JDM BADGES
92-2002 GS300/ARISTO TURBO CONVERSION JDM BADGES
00-2007 HONDA S2000
well thats all i can think of at the moment so i hope this clears up a little more on what i'm lookin for.

also if anyone would like there car to be considered for the car show please email me 4 really good pictures of your car and all its stats

if you look closely to the Fit and the Aveo they have pretty much the same body especially the rear end of the car very similar the big difference is the front end.

But you are right daewoo does have the same exact car as well but daewoo copied the Fit. Korean car companies are notorious for copying other car companies designs. GM likes to buy body styles from japanese car companies as well for example the pontiac vibe is the toyota matrix, the brand new G6 coupe is based off of the toyota solara loosely, the ford probe back in the day was based off of the late 80's early 90's 240sx, and the pontiac fiero was based off the toyota MR2.

I work at a Chevy dealership and the Aveo is based off the Daewoo Kalos. There is nothing Honda or Japanese about it. Other than that I have a 1994 Suzuki Swift GT(i)(JDM: Cultus) I could offer the car for some variety due to it being a rarer car. Nothing too over the top for tuning mainly suspension and minor engine work. It is a project car for SCCA Solo Auto-X racing. It shares the same frame as a GEO Metro but everything else is different. Engine-wise can we say DOHC. Full independent suspension with disc brakes all around. I am one of three known in Indiana.
