Anyone plan on going to Ohayocon? It's held in Columbus OH, and it runs early January of next year.

My bf and I are planning to go but we havent reserved our room yet nor have we pre-reg'd. The site is all messed up so I wanna wait til they get their online registration up.

Me and the rest of the Michigan and Ohio groups I run with will be heading down for Ohayocon again this year. In fact, unless I'm told otherwise, Iron Editor: The AMV Wars should be running sometime during that weekend. I think I have a few panels as well...

I'm going! This comming one will only be my second time though. But I'm going with/ meeting up with a pretty big group of people! ^_^ I can't wait.

I'd like to, but I'm not confident that the roads will be safe in January and I drive a really crappy car. If I can borrow a van, I'll be there

Back in '05 we took a sports car out there (if an Eclipse counts as a sports car, but its rear wheel drive) We had snow tires on it and the trip wasn't bad at all because it was only raining, but on Sunday before we left it started snowing in OH.

Just take it slow if the weather is bad and be prepared in case you get into an accident.

I'm doing my best to make it to Ohayocon. It would probably be my first out of the state con I'm attending. So I'm crossing my fingers if everything goes well after Christmas season.

Ah, the dreaded drive to Ohayocon. I had a similar experience as well. Back when I staffed Ohayo '05, I drove out with some fellow staffers in a beat up old p.o.s. Accord. It barely had room for the 4 of us, not to mention all of our crap which included 2 sleeping bags, an air mattress, and ALL of the material for vidprog.

That would've been fine were it not for the weather! In what should've been only a 7 hour drive took us over 11 thanks to us driving through a blizzard most of the way there!

Yeah...the accident option....Wouldn't want to do that.

That mustve sucked. Thankfully, our trip was around 6 hours like Mapquest promised. I dont like long car rides, especially when I have to drive *shudders*

Four people in a car? You guys must have been sitting on some of your own luggage. I remember having 3 people in a newer, roomy Accord on the way to Reactor a few years ago, and I packed so much crap I was drowning in it. Quite fun.

The best part of the trip to Ohayocon is the view; nothing but cornfields and farms for miles on that stretch of highway in IN, and a random car every now and then since we left early in the morning. Boredom? No way!! The sunrise is pretty though (hey Im a chick,lol)

I will be attending Ohayocon this year as well. I'll be helping out with a couple events, namely Iron Editor with ngsilver and I'll probably help Bear out with karaoke as well.

So I better see you all at both events.

Actually, due to some matters that I wont bother going into, we're just The AMV Wars now. And yes, we will be comming to Ohayocon this year ^^ Come check us out if you like AMVs, you'll be sure to be pleased with the event.

I mean, it has to be good, nat-chan is running it ^^
