The Offical Date for Anime Central 2007 are May 11th-13th.
We will be back at the Hyatt and the Convention Center for this our Tenth Year of Acen.

Pre-reg is not yet open.

The Hotel is not sold out yet, the rooms are blocked though-on hold- for Acen fans. They will be open for bookings when the hotel rate for this year is released.

We are looking forward to the best year ever of Anime Central as we celabrate Ten years of comeing together to enjoy this wonderful thing called Anime.

May 11th-13th? DANG! This makes it the 2nd year in a row I'll be unable to attend. I couldn't attend last year cause ACen was the weekend prior to Finals at my college. Now this year, it's DURING Finals week! Guess I'll have to wait until 2008 then to go. And I was having such a good day too.

Thanks for the information about Acen dates and pre-reg. I guess hotel information will be coming soon. When will that be, especially for the Hyatt Regency O'Hare?

I rearranged my finals last year, and I'll have to this year, too. Time conflicts are just part of life.

Anyway, I agree, screw jr. Prom. Just go to senior prom. It'll make it more special... espeically since as far as I know my jr. and senior prom were at the same place... just a different post prom.

Prom is boring and overated!! You spend hundreds on a dress and pictures, only to get a crappy chicken dinner with some cake and bad music cause anything else the faculity finds bad. I went to my senior prom only fun part was the after party at my friends house I rented a tux! I could have got more anime that year if I didn't go to prom!

Not that I want to be a broken record, since I have said this before, but just do both! Assuming you live in the Chicagoland area

LOL, prom only lasts a few hours, so make a most of them and head over to Acen before prom or miss one day out of 3 I mean acen is more than one day, you don't have to miss either, if you are tight on funding for a dress and so forth use a cosplay...seriously, my friend went to prom in her friends old Lulu's outfit see and see lol =)

Prom really is a memory all it's own I personally enjoyed Junior Prom more than Senior though those pictures are of Senior Prom. Yes I guess it can be seen as just some crappy chicken dinner and bad loud music in the end in an over priced venue but atleast for me it was almost an entirely different group of friends that I got to make memories with and it will probably be one of the last big nice things you get to do with that group of friends before everyone runs off to college and/or gets full time jobs and are too busy to hang out. LOL it really is the end, I hardly see anyone in that second picture anymore, and god knows never all together, half of them moved out of state for school and so I only if at all see them on christmas break and the other half is in state but all of our work schedules don't leave a space that we all have free...Lulu up there and I actually requested the same day off of work so we could see each other lol...its sad.

But ranting/whining aside.

Yayay the official dates are out!
(Hopefully the room block will be removed soon and rates posted so I can reserve a room...it isn't really worrying about not getting a room but more so making sure I have the money before I buy some more wigs lol)

Yeah it screws Mother's Day and possibly some college finals I will have to check the exam schedules, but life is full of sacrificing and prioritizing...so...GET USE TO IT! Reschedule those finals...it isn't hard to do, just take them a week early, professors get crappy if you want to take them later but saying you're going out of town for a family reunion and have to take them early won't be a problem...lol or tell the truth that you want to dress up as a doodle whichever

And tell mom as I have that you're going to be home a little late on her oh so special day but that you'll get her something nice at Acen, and that she can come to the hotel on Sunday for some swimming if she'd like.
