I went on DDR freak today and I just found out that there's gonna be a saturday morning show on CBS called Dance Revolution airing on september 16. It sounds interesting where a couple of kids show off the dance moves to some of the DDR tracks. Here's more info from the konami website

the only thing is that is licensed by DIC who I despise for raping the sailor moon franchise. What do you guys think?

Um...no....DDR gets made fun enough by Ronald Mc Donald...and other shows...I guess that's the price for mainstream...

I have a feeling that the show may do well, perhaps a Soul Train/American Bandstand for a new generation...uh yeah...:sweatdrop Anyway, I love DDR and my kids are really crazy about it too, crazy enough to DDR in the kitchen just making it all up in their heads. It was very cute!

I have a hunch this is a way to help get kids to get motivated to exercise. Even if it means getting them on a DDR pad....although I have no problem with the idea of more people doing DDR. I don't know how to feel.
Lazy people don't suffer from Lazziness. They enjoy every moment of it! :D

Just something to look at if curious. http://www.myspace.com/treadsilently

If it'll help get kids off their butts and exercise I don't mind.

Uh...there are no DDR pads mentioned in this show. It's hosted by the "charismatic Dance Revolution house band", which probably means that the kids will be dancing on stage to music (not necessarily DDR music). If there is any DDR music, it will probably be "Butterfly" , since many DDR players note that "Butterfly" is the most popular song for not-so-experienced kids playing DDR.

Fitness Education teachers are already using DDR in the class room so why not. This is just another step to help the younger generations, though I never really thought that half the songs were for the tweens and teens population.

We will just have to wait and see on this one.
