Rule sets will be up shortly.

Awesome, perfect times for everything (cept maybe the guilty gear players who wanted to go to the masq)

Everything else is great, thanks for the large time slot for the Naruto tournies, i expect huge turnouts for it if its anything like Reactor or last years Acen.

I think the times look ok too, with the annoying exception that now I won't be able to do the guilty gear tournament again this year(planning to be in the masquerade)

The Twinkle Star Sprites is NOT an official tournament, therefore it is not going onto the official times list.

It is your responsibility to promote, plan, and run the tournament. All we are providing is a TV.

Ah, ok. I didn't know this list was only for the official tournaments. I figured I'd ask you to put it here, since my thread on the matter disappeared for some reason. :confused:

i am gonna bring mine just in case. . . last year 3rd strike came up like at the last min and so did cvs 2 and i didnt know



some VF action would be nice. . .but alas no one plays

Even though the con is two weeks away now - I am assuming that the beatmania IIDX tournament will be held using IIDX 10th Style CS (the most recent home release)?

I will be more than happy to play some CVS2, 3S, and VF4Evo with whoever. I think this year all fighting videogame tournaments should be recorded and placed online. Especially for Naruto!!!

If someone could bring a cam. with them for this purpose that would be the hotness!!!;)

We thought long and hard about that tournament. And the fact is, getting people to donate 360s would be like asking people to volunteer for a root canal. I know I wouldn't want to use mine for general game-play, and I don't intend on bringing it just for one tournament. If there were more games to run tournaments for on the 360, I'm sure I'd consider it, but at least for right now it didn't make sense.

I'd have loved to have seen a DOA4 tourney, it just didn't work out this year. Sorry guys. Of course if anyone wants to bring their 360, we should have open tvs. You can always run a tournament of your own, just ok with Ryan [Zaps] first.

As Sinfinity said, it was originally on the list of games we were gonna have a tournament for. However, the issue of 360's is pretty much the main reason why we're not having it. I've had to work with 360's before in DOA tournaments, and switching controllers, using wireless ones, people needing to plug in joysticks and change buttons, settings, profiles, everything is a HUGE mess. So not only is a 360 hard to use and nobody is gonna want to donate it, but the chaos of the way DOA4 on the 360 is set up makes it really hard to organize it well with so many people wanting to join.

And no other DOA's would be used officially because with DOA4 out, very few people will want to play DOA2 or DOA3, so there's really no point.

By that logic, the Katamari tournament would be using WLK instead of KD.

Except that if you played DOA, you would know DOA4 is far superior to DOA2 or DOA3.

My logic is "the better game will want to be played, and few people will want to play the inferior version" and if KD is the better game, then thats the one that's gonna want to be used.
