Ya that king cosplay is pretty good. I like king (in KOF 97). If I see you at ACEN in that costume we're getting a pic together for sure.

Um I don't think there are any XI or NGBC machines in chicago (though the Black Hole MIGHT have NGBC).

I haven't played either game though.

Probably not, sorry. I don't think very many people would be interested in it, and tracking one down would not be fun.

NeoGeo Battle Colliseum is pointless since you might as well just get the console version.

KoF XI though...no arcade in Chicago (except the Black Hole, which is a bar/restaurant in Little Mexico...not quite an area to exactly mosey into freely) would have KoF XI, because it's not very much appreciated =/

Not a fan of playing a lot of player in Black Hole in KoF anyway; a lot of them are the masters in cheese. Not my style of playing for KoF.


Syxx: I tried NGBC when it was still in beta at ASI 2005 last March, and I very much tried to like it...and I just couldn't. Unless they changed it since then (which I've heard they did), it wasn't quite worth it.

We need more KoF fans (Because Orochi = Awesome. Just like my username =P)~

That's just the word on the street (about it being there). NGBC has been out for a while on the ps2 now. I want to try it. I'm actually gonna have a chance to play it this weekend. I know it's not great but it's SNK so I want to give it a try.

Are you talkin about the intro song from Evangelion? OK so I like that song. Not because of Evangelion, I don't care too much for that show, I used to be a fan of Megumi Hayashibara and that song is on her CD. I'll be one of those people playing that song a ton I guess hehe. Like if I see that show on TV I'll listen to the intro (even though it's not Megumi) then turn it off hehe. Ah well.

QFT. Black Hole is pretty shi++y. I wouldn't say it's because of the Mexi-scrubs, but more like the area it's in and the venue itself...it's pretty nasty. But I have NGBC Syxx, freaking next time you go to Chris's, tell me so I can bring it. AND DON'T HAVE THESE DAMN 5-hour TEKKEN SESSIONS EITHER. Cripes.

And yeah, Pop 'n 12 has the intro theme for Eva, but it's not Megumi (who didn't do the original intro anyway, but she sang a remixed version, and another version with the voice actresses for Asuka and Misato). It's kinda neat because Konami got the original singer (Takahashi Yoko) to re-sing the Pop 'n version of Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis/Cruel Angel Thesis, and not some crappy cover artist (like Sana).

It also has the Crayon Shinchan theme...which is a winner.

BTW, I'll call you if ASI has DR, and any other SNK games =P

Bring one of those games over to ACen then! I'm broke and can't import and reallllly wanna play it so I can tell a couple people to shut up about how sexy Robert is in it. Plus Rob/Ryo's double assault looked pretty nice in the video I saw of it..even though it was about the size of a quarter on my screen. :/

I just heard it'll be out by April; if there's no delays, you know there'll be a bunch of copies floating around on consoles =P

I'm really surprised that there isn't a "Guitar Hero" tournament listed. I don't play "Guitar Hero", but I know that the game has gotten lots of praise, even from die-hard members of the Bemani community (just look at the review on the DDR Freak website).

Guitar Hero, well I thought about it, and the problem is the game isn't really tournament friendly. It will be hooked up to a TV if people want to play, but with a Guitar Freaks tournament going on already on the arcade, I don't really see a Guitar Hero tourney happening.

I guess you could always use your time playing to have "grudge matches" one on one. :-p

Alright, DOA 4, I was wondering if there'd be any 360 games played. That's good, I've been playing a lot of DOA 4 and getting a lot worse at Halo. Now I'm definately looking forward to the video game tournaments.
