There are about 90 more applications and 4-5 more rooms for us to fill! 		<description><![CDATA[The "Got Soap?" contest on the forums has come to its end. The winning slogan this year is <strong class='bbc'>"An unexpected error occurred. Program: C:&#092;Program Files&#092; Anime Central&#092; mmjb.exe 404 Error- Soap not found"</strong>. Congratulations to Krystal Kohler for suggesting the winning slogan for Anime Central 15! As the winner for her great suggestion she will receive a complimentary badge coupled with a T-shirt with her slogan affixed. Great Job! So, for all you attendees out there, don't forget to drop by the Merchandising booth at con and pick up your amazing T-shirt and help support a fellow con-goer.]]></description>

		<title>Hiya from the Con Chair</title>

		<description><![CDATA[Hiya everyone to the start of our 15th Anniversary convention year. The ACen team has been hard at work planning, and we’ve got some great things in the line up this year. Some I can talk about, others we’ll save for later. This year we are introducing Children’s Day at Anime Central. The Sunday of our convention children 12 and under can attend for free with a paying adult (limit 2 per adult). We are rolling out some special children’s events, and will be working with several different groups to bring families together to enjoy our convention. Keep an eye out for these special events to be posted as we get closer to the con.<br />

In addition to some of the great new things for this 2012 convention year, you may have already noticed that we have already opened the main hotel block, in the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. So for those of you who love to stay in the heart of all the action, reserve your rooms before they all go. We will keep opening our hotel blocks as we get them finalized and in plenty of time for the convention, too. So please keep an eye on our hotel pages to get the latest information on room blocks and rates - we wouldn't want anyone to miss out!<br />

If you’ve also been paying attention to our website and forums, you’ll notice we’ve already opened our Registration and our Vendor Hall. Grab your badges early and save on your registration rates. Also, don't forget to select mailing to get the special commemorative 15th anniversary badge. Our Vendor Hall has been filling quickly, so keep an eye out for the names and locations of the vendors on our website, as you will get the most up-to-date pre-convention information there. You can also stay informed all year long by checking on our website, forums, twitter, newsletter, and *new this year* we will be rolling out a mobile app. Hope you’re as excited as we are!<br />
