Eric Maruscak is an artist who has been appearing at conventions across the Unites States, making giant chalk murals as performance art since 2006.
He has appeared at The 2012 Anime Central convention creating a Madoka Magika mural, as well as appearing at a number of New York Comic Cons, the San Diego Comic Con, the New York Anime Festival, the Baltimore Otakon, the Penny Arcade Expo, Star Wars Celebration V and VI, and a number of Wizard World Shows. Some of his work has been for companies ranging from Lucasfilm, FUNimation, Aniplex, and Nintendo, to ESPN, Warner Brothers, Marvel and DC Comics, and even work for the 10th Anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh!
Eric’s murals often take over 30 hours to complete during the course of a show, so be sure to stop back multiple times to check on his progress. Eric also records a time lapse video of the entire process which is posted online not long after the show. So now, not only can you show your friends who couldn’t make it the cool artwork, you might even see yourself in the video for a 10th of a second!
