We are pleased and excited to announce that the the World Cosplay Summit will be holding the American national final round at Anime Central! Pairs cosplay teams from qualifying rounds across the country will appear, showcasing the best American craftsmanship and stage performances. They will compete for the honor of representing the United States in a televised event at the 2014 World Cosplay Summit in Japan. After 12 strong years of the World Cosplay Summit, and a tremendous growth in the skill, scope and scale of competition in the last few especially, ACen is excited to offer the US National Finals a true home. Last year, World Cosplay Summit welcomed competitors from four regional competitions, numbering dozens of teams nationwide. As in previous years, teams will be vying for the chance to represent the United States internationally and compete before a judges’ panel made up of industry legends. Previous years’ judges have included Go Nagai (Devilman, Cutie Honey), Tomokazu Sugita (Gintama, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya), May’n (Macross Frontier), and many more. World Cosplay Summit looks forward to sharing all the excitement, competition and fabulous costumes with everyone at ACen 2014.

A Letter from the WCS US to our ACen Fans!
Greetings to ACen from the World Cosplay Summit! In 2014, we have teamed up to make this convention the home of the US National Finals event. World Cosplay Summit is an international competition founded in 2003 which invites teams from around the world to showcase their talents in a special event on Japanese television. The Nation Finals are where pairs-teams from across the country bring their best costume craftsmanship and short skits to the stage and compete for the honor to represent the United States internationally! It is a unique opportunity for cosplayers and fans alike, as we will be witnessing some of the most skillful cosplay and impressive performances. See characters from your favorite anime, manga and video games brought to life like never before!

We hope to see you there out in the audience, and we want to hear you cheering for your favorite regional qualifier teams!

See you at ACen for the excitement!
