Are you looking to become a part of Anime Central in a fashionable and fun way? Gashicon of Hangry&Angry & MINT NeKO are looking for male and female models for their fashion shows at Anime Central on Friday, May 17, 2013 & Saturday, May 18, 2013. You must be available from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm for hair and makeup through the end of the fashion show in Main Programming on Friday and 8:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday. Selected models must attend a mandatory fitting on Thursday, May 16 th, 2013 at 7:00 pm.Read more

YUKINO (Born July 8th, 1991) is a Japanese female vocalist and a radio personality. She was born in Fukuoka, and grew up in Yokohama. Yukino is a rising star in Japanese music industry today.

When Yukino was a child, she enjoyed singing American hard rock, funk, and R&B music. By the time she was a teenager, she dreamed to be a singer, and started vocal training with a voice trainer.Read more

Life is never dull for Helen. So far this year, she’s been asked to teach at an English university, endorse and contribute to academic publications on anime, help to put together a costume exhibition, revise and update one of her earlier books and write a history of manga in three months. She’s also got a publisher reading her novel. On a sadder note, in January she attended the funeral of one of her childhood icons, Supermarionation creator Gerry Anderson.

Then again, life has never been dull since she first encountered Japanese popular culture in Europe over thirty years ago.Read more

Anime Central is happy to announce Gashicon’s return for the second year in a row!

In 2004, GASHICON entered the graphics production company of S-INC – “INCS.”
GASHICON became the person in charge for the graphic design of the fashion brand “h.NAOTO.”

In 2005, the original characters of Hangry&Angry were illustrated by GASHICON. The two characters, Hangry and Angry, are drawn (and in their real life versions dressed) in the “gurokawa” (grotesque/cute) style as an h.NAOTO character brand.

GASHICON is in charge of the production of HANGRY&ANGRY’s characters and comics.Read more

Yuu Asakawa is a singer and voice actress from Tokyo, Japan with Arts Vision talent agency. Vocaloid fans know her voice as the model for Megurine Luka. She is also well known for her roles as Sakaki in Azumanga Dai-Oh, Momoyo Kawakami in Majikoi ~ Oh! Anime Central is pleased to announce Kalafina will be performing on the first night of the convention, May 17, 2013, at the Akoo Theatre. This performance will be Kalafina’s first full band performance in the U.S., and Anime Central is excited to bring this unique treat to U.S. fans.

Kalafina is a Japanese female vocal trio produced by the hit-making sound producer, Yuki Kajiura. Keiko, Wakana, and Hikaru, the members of Kalafina, have voices that perfectly match the music composed by Kajiura.Read more
